More family visiting! I love it!

Monday was a pretty good day. Karen came in and fed the fur kids and then put me in the bathtub for a bit, we did some personal care and then another nice long hot bath and as you got me dressed in up in my chair. Stanley took off to San Jose to pick up Dave from the airport, my mom is going to be so surprised! By the time Karen got me in my chair, my brothers got here so I got to say hello. We visited for a little bit and then Dave and I took Robby and Dude for a cruise through Depot Park, halfway down the wharf and back, through Depot Park again and then home. We rested for a bit and then Dave and I cruised through downtown to meet my mom and Stanley for lunch, an Italian place I've been a handful of times and the food is always really good but I never really see anybody there… Maybe they're more popular at night? We cruised back home and rested for a bit before Rosa came in to put me to bed and feed the hungry crew. I watch TV for a while, edited my pictures and wrote in my blog. For some reason, I'm really tired tonight so I watched TV for a while longer and I was out.

Tuesday was such an incredible day! Cindy came in and fed the hungry crew and then fed me and got me dressed in up in my chair. We went through a bunch of closets and got rid of a lot of blankets, quilts, pillows, sweatshirts… Everything that I've been clinging onto for all these years. I even got rid of my father safe but it's going to my nephew so I feel really good about that. Tomorrow is my aunt and uncles 59th wedding anniversary and we wanted them to know we were thinking of them but they don't like stuff like that so we just kind of got a barbecue together. My brother invited Rosie, we haven't seen Rosie for about a year… Our families grew up together. It was just my mom, Stanley, David, Claudia, Lee, Tom, Kelly, Rosie and I. We had a really nice time and it was a perfect day. Susan came by later to get me and take off for Chicago playing in San Jose, I'm so excited! We got there in plenty of time and found a place to park and then cruised over to the Civic Center. We got right in and found our seats and then Susan went to go get something to eat, a chicken sausage sandwich and tater tots… I need a couple of tater tots but I was so nervous and it was really warm in this place so I didn't want to eat yet. When we first got there we were kind of squished together on this balcony with a couple of other people but eventually, one of the people moved and we took out a chair and had plenty of room. There was a gentleman sitting to my left who was a paraplegic, he seemed like a very sweet man in a really big Chicago fan. I see those live videos on Facebook but I have never done one so since my Google Glass is not working very well Susan did a couple of those and it was pretty cool, you can see who's watching with you. We cruised home after stopping to buy a T-shirt, I waited outside while Susan got one for me because it was just really crowded in there. This guy Rick Came out really excited and said "what an awesome concert"! I said they are the best, I told him I was sorry that they didn't play at the Mountain winery anymore and she said he had a friend that owned a vineyard up by there and could just sit outside and listen to music… How cool is that?? A couple minutes later Susan came out with a really nice T-shirt and we decided to get our picture taken by the Chicago poster, I saw Rick walk by and I said: "hey Rick, will you take our picture?" Susan gave me a really weird book and said: "do you know that guy?" I said "oh yes, we're old friends… We went to different schools together". Lisa was here working in the garden and taking care of the boys. She put me to bed and I was sore and exhausted so I fell right to sleep.

Wednesday was a good day. Susan came in and fed the boys and then gave me a nice long two-hour massage, it felt so good! Karen came in and fed the screaming cat and put me in a nice warm bathtub, it's so relaxing and warms me up when I take a bath in the morning. We did some personal care and another nice long hot bath. Kent, the mobile dog groomer, came by to give the boys their biweekly beauty treatment. My brothers went up on the hill to help Rich move some stuff around so they were gone most of the day so I decided to just stay in bed. When they came back they went over to U-Haul and rented out one way to Oregon so Stanley could take a bunch of stuff that my aunt and I got together to get rid of, mostly stuff that I got for when they used to come to visit when they lived in Modesto… Now that they have their own places they might as well enjoy the stuff and now I can get more stuff LOL. Rosa came in and fed the hungry crew and then fit me, she kept herself busy doing some stuff around the house and then say goodbye to everybody and went home. The boys were going to get up early so they went to bed early so I just watched TV, listen to music and reminisced about what a nice visit I had with my family.

Thursday was a pretty good day. My brothers took off at 7:30 AM, Stanley was going to drop David off at the airport and then cruised home with the U-Haul truck… What a great visit but of course always too short. After she fed the crew Karen got me dressed and up in my chair. I took Robby for a cruise, we ran into Omar and stopped to talk to him for a while and then cruised through Depot Park, he likes to circle the park a couple of times and make sure that he pees on everything, we cruised over to the wharf where we ran into Lo and talk to her for a while… We were going to try to get together on Saturday for coffee. She's so sweet and funny and I just love talking to her! We cruised over to the boardwalk and ran into Jimmy so we visited with him for a while and then back home. Dude and I took off for cruise through Depot Park and then back and forth between the wharf and the boardwalk to just take a bunch of pictures with my Google Glass, I'm so excited that my Google Glass is working again with the battery pack that I bought… My niece Aubrey told me that she thought it would work and it did! I was getting really bummed out thinking that I was going to have to send my Google Glass home with my brother to see if his friends from work could come up with another solution to keep it running a little bit longer. It's just so nice to be able to cruise around and take pictures again!  I had an appointment at my house with the guy from Sleep RX, he was bringing by my new CPAP machine. Rosa came in and put me to bed after she fed the fur babies, she fed me and I worked on my blog and edited pictures while I listen to music until Trish came by to watch an episode of the marvelous Mrs. Maisel and after she left I fell asleep.

Friday was another great day. Karen came in and fed the furry beasts and then put me in the tab to soak. We did some personal care and a nice long hot bath and she got me dressed in up in my chair. I took Robby for a nice long cruise through Depot Park, over to the wharf, over to the boardwalk where we ran into Jimmy touching up one of his murals… He always remembers my dog's names but not mine, it's like that with most people including me… I'm always better at remembering everybody's pets names. Dude and I took off for a cruise when Robby and I came back, I think Friday is my favorite day because I get to stay up until 8 PM and go to the concert on the beach between June and August every year. We cruised through Depot Park, to the end of the wharf and back and over to the boardwalk where we ran into Jimmy again… I just love his stories! He said he saw me on the train and he likes to go on the train but the conductor always makes a big deal because of everything that he does, he's such an amazing man and doesn't even realize it! We cruised back home and then I took off by myself to the concert on the beach, for some reason I was thinking it was the guy who was the lead singer for Journey for a while but it was the guy that was the lead singer for Bad Company… It was a great concert! I always meet the nicest people I get to chat with them for a while before the concerts. I headed home and Lisa came in to put me to bed, Sara had the weekend off. It was really nice to get to know Lisa again, she worked with me for a while but then went on to nursing school and she's on a break right now but she's going to further her education. I'm excited because I love working with her and she makes my yard looks so beautiful! I watched TV for a while and fell asleep.

Saturday was another really good day. Cindy came in and got me up in my chair after she fed the hungry crew. The Woofpack came to get Robby so it was just Dude and I for the day. We cruised through Depot Park and down to the end of the wharf and back, over to the boardwalk and back, back down to the end of the wharf and back again and then home. I wanted to go to bed early because I'm just really exhausted, it's been so busy and there has been so much company… I love it but I'm exhausted! Lisa came in and fed the hungry crew and then put me to bed. The rest of the evening I just listen to music, watch TV, edited pictures and wrote in my blog and before he knew it I was out.

Sunday was a really good day. Cindy came in and fed the fur babies and got me dressed and up in my chair, she came in a little early because today was the Wharf to Wharf. I took off with Dude down to where the race begins, in front of the ideal restaurant on Beach Street and I ran into Claudia. I said hello to her quickly because we were late and went to go get in line. Dude was so excited that 10,000 people came down to take him for a cruise, that's what he thought anyway… He was so excited looking around at all the people. I love all the unique costumes, there was a couple in front of us with really crazy wigs, shorts, knee socks and they had tennis rackets and were batting around a tennis ball back and forth… I think Dude watched the tennis ball the whole way hoping they would drop it but they didn't. I bought a T-shirt last year and even though it was an extra-large it was too small for me so we put it on Dude and of course, everybody loved it, he just loves all of the attention. We finished the race and Cindy and Adriana met us at Zelda's in Capitola and went to get my goodie bag for doing the race, it actually had two T-shirts and it, a couple of protein bars, a really nice tin water bottle, some apple juice, and some coupons. We went to Gayl's and had lunch and then across the street to get some coffee. Cindy parked my van where she works, about two blocks away. The traffic had pretty much died down so we made it home and I rested for a bit before Lisa came in to feed the hungry guys and gal and put me to bed. I watched TV for a little while and fell asleep, it was a long and exciting day.

You did have a fun week, Tammie, between your aunt/uncle's 59th anniversary, family visits, and seeing Chicago, wow! That is quite a lot of great times! Glad you enjoyed it all!
