Kevin coming to visit…

Monday was a really good day. I met this really nice lady that works in the toll booth in front of the wharf, just from seeing her when I drive by there, we decided one day to get together and have coffee and today was the day. Karen came in and fed the crew and then fed me, dressed me and got me up in my chair. Since it's a holiday the Woofpack didn't come to get Robby, he wasn't going to be able to go anyways because he's still in some kind of pain… The doctor supposed to call me tomorrow and let me know what kind of anti-inflammatory been going to put him on for his arthritis pain. He's also had a long history of low white length cell count so they're sending that over to a specialist to find out what's wrong with my poor boy. I took Dude and went for a cruise about halfway down the wharf before I met with Lo, we had coffee and talked for about an hour and found out we have a lot in common… She was really easy to talk to. We decided to go for a cruise down to the end of the wharf and back, we ran into Vince and talk to him for a while. When we got down to the end of the wharf Lo got a text from a friend of hers that said she was waiting at her house for her, she lives right across the street from the wharf… So cool! I told her I was going to go ahead and go so I can get some exercise for Dude and as I was on my way back home to legally get some water my cousin Kevin texted me and said him and Chris were leaving San Francisco early and wanted to come by for dinner, ever going to come later and stay and have breakfast with us but of course the more we can see them the happier we are. I texted my aunt to see if her and my uncle wanted to go out to get something to eat for dinner but we decided we have a lot of stuff here to just barbecue, Kevin is an excellent cook/barbecuer/Bartender. I had a big hunk of filet mignon in the refrigerator and a bunch of green beans from my aunts garden, the neighbors came over with some zucchini and my aunt and uncle had some fruit and salads so we had a really nice dinner. Just as we were finishing up eating Rosa came in and I said goodnight to everyone and to put me to bed. I was pretty tired so I think I was out before Rosa left.

Tuesday was a pretty good day. Cindy came in and got me dressed and up in my chair after she spent the crew, I got up just as Kevin and Chris were getting ready to leave… It was a short visit but so nice thinking by. The Woofpack came to get Dude and Cindy and I cruised over to Ross to see what they have for Halloween, I'm having a party and I wanted to get some tablecloths, table runners and I ended up getting a couple more decorations just because I couldn't stop myself. Robby and I went for a short cruise down to Depot Park and back, the vet said not too much exercise until we find out what's really wrong with him. We hung out in the driveway for a while and Heather came over to cooked for the next couple of days. Mariposa came by to give me some acupuncture, I was so wound up from everything that's been happening and it felt so great to just relax. Cindy told me that Rosa would be in at five and she didn't show up until 6:10 PM, I could've had my mom put my shoes back on and cruised around for a little while longer so I was a little upset. We got into it a little bit when she got here but I was just too tired and wanted to go to bed and eat.

Wednesday was another pretty good day. Susan came in and I got a nice long massage, I think I was half asleep the whole time. Karen came in and we did some personal care and a nice long hot bath, I was ready for the day. She got me dressed and up in my chair and I took Robby for a cruise over to Depot Park and back, they were setting up for the Ironman triathlon that's going to happen on Sunday. Usually, I try to stay away from the boardwalk and wharf on weekends but Sunday is going to be so crowded it will be hard to get around everywhere so I might just stay in bed. Dude and I took off for a cruise over to the end of the wharf and back, a Long Beach St., down to the end of the boardwalk and back, back down to the end of the wharf and back and then home. It feels so great to be out and about again. We cruised back home and Rosa came in to feed everyone and put me to bed, I was a little more relaxed and watched some TV and then listen to some music until I went to sleep.

Thursday was another pretty good day. Karen came in and got me up and in my chair and I called Watchdog Security to see if they could come and look at my security system, it was already put in when the house was built but a year or so ago the company that installed it went out of business so instead of trying to look around I just went with AT&T security but they are really hard to get a hold of and last time they came to fix a beeping noise they told me I would have to find another security company to take care of my windows… When you take off the screens there's a wire that's supposed to set off the alarm. The lady that answered the phone at Watchdog Security was so nice and helpful and she could hear the beeping in the background so she came over and turned my system off, you just don't get customer service like that anymore so I decided to have them take care of my security. She said everything looks like a mess and they would have to redo everything, I had a feeling that's what you would say because it's just a mess with wires going everywhere. It's going to be really nice to have it working reliably. Dr. Logantheti called me and said Robby's white blood cell count is still really high and she has a friend that specializes in that field so she's going to talk to her friend and see if they can figure out why. She prescribed some anti-inflammatory medication for him that we can use only when he needs it, they take such good care of my boys… I just love them all! I took Robby down to pick up his medication and weigh him to see how he's doing, he's gained weight and looks like he feels great. I came back home and rested for a bit and then took Dude out for a cruise around the ballpark because they're sending up soccer field to store everybody's bicycles for part of the race on Sunday. We cruised down to the end of the wharf and back, over to the boardwalk and back, back down to the end of the wharf begin and home.  While we were at the boardwalk we practiced some commands.  I got a message yesterday from Jan, she asked me to come to Los Gatos Lyons lunch and help them celebrate one of the guys in charge getting a puppy named after him and they wanted to see Robby again and meet Dude. They helped me out to expedite my application when I got Robby and we used to go there about once a year to do a demonstration but I lost touch with her for a while, I can't wait to see her and everybody else again… They are all such sweet people and already love Robby and I know they will love Dude. I noticed this morning that my right hand was really swollen and hot so I took a Benadryl and by the time we got back there was no change so I took a couple more, I don't know if I hit it on something or if I got bit by something. I ran into to my friend Lo and talk to her for a couple minutes and then cruised home so we could hang out in the driveway for a while before Rosa came in but Dude went straight to his kennel and laid down and Robby stayed in the living room so I just hung out and watched TV.

Friday was a pretty good day, really busy. Karen came in and we did some personal care and a nice long hot soothing relaxing bath. I took Robby for a cruise over to Depot Park and back, the vet wants him to relax more but he always wants to jump in and go. I love that guy so much! Theresa came in early to take me to doctors appointments, I was glad that I had an appointment so I can show her my hand because it's really weird… It's swollen but there's no bite marks or bruises or anything so I don't know what's wrong. It's time for my yearly physical so now I get to go through all those appointments again, getting old to such an adventure. It was really nice to see Dr. Owens again and she gave me a prescription to get my hand x-rayed but I have another appointment that day so will have to wait until Monday. My second appointment was Dr. Hurray, I always love seeing him and so does Dude. He said everything looks great and see you again in three months. My Google glasses not working again so I did gets take any pictures. Unfortunately, there are no more concerts on the beach so I'm just going to go to bed early and rest. We came home and Theresa fed everybody and put me to bed. I just watched TV for a while.

Saturday was not such a good day. I woke up and almost decided to go get my hand x-rayed but I was invited to a get-together and I really wanted to go.  Cindy came in and got me up and ready for the day. After I got up and took Robby for a little cruise my stomach was feeling scratchy and queasy so I decided to just go back to bed. We ended up doing some personal care and a nice long hot bath and after I went to bed we put an ice pack on my hand. I just watched TV and try not to use my right hand but that's the hand I use for my mouse and I just can't seem to stop using it.

Sunday was a pretty good day. I felt a lot better today. Cindy came in and got me up and Dude to and I wait for a cruise with Trish and Mr. Bean. We started to cruise through Depot Park but today is the Ironman triathlon and it was crazy so we turned around and decided to cruise downtown. We stop by the bookstore and she got a book and then we cruised through the antique fair and the Greek Festival, I need to cruise around downtown more often because I'm always missing something. It looks like they were just setting up for the Greek Festival so we didn't get anything to eat. We cruised back home and I remembered that the Capitola Art and wine festival was today, I just wanted to get a couple of wine glasses but it was going on for three days and by the time we got there they were out. We cruised around for a while and listen to the music. I manage Sacha and a guy that I used to run into all the time on the segued towards down by the wharf, I think his name is Bill. I ran into another girl but for the life of me I couldn't remember her name, I wish my memory was better. We cruised home and she put me to bed and I watched TV for a while before I was out.

You did seem like you had a good busy week, Tammie. I hope the vet can find out what is going on with Robbie!
