Tuesday was a very frustrating day. Cindy came in and got me up, I had an appointment with Lisa at Stanford to do at fMRI. I was really nervous about it, because of that tube you have to lay in with all the pinging so I took a lorazepam. We started down Highway 17 and was rerouted because of a mudslide, I found out later that the mud pushed an SUV across the lane and flipped it over into the other lane… The whole top of the vehicle was smashed in and thankfully the guy lived. They rerouted us through Scotts Valley and pretty soon the traffic was slowing down and then they were turning everybody around. We decided to go down Highway nine but the same thing, people were turning around and redirecting us. Gilroy was our last resort but woman looked at the GPS I was going to be really late so we decided it's best to just cancel and reschedule and it's a good thing we did because everything got worse. All along the road people lined up to watch San Luis reservoir fill up, I don't think I have ever seen it that full before. We stopped by new leaf market on the way back to get some stuff for this miracle noodle kimchi that I saw online, I can't wait to try some of that. We headed on home and I ate my turkey, pesto, brie cheese Panini on focaccia bread, I was only going to eat half but it was so delicious I ate it all and then I was sorry. I rested for a bit and then took some pictures of my new bathroom arrangement, I really like it but were going to have to thin it out a little bit… I keep rearranging everything over in my head. Rosa came in and put me to bed and still feeling the effects of the lorazepam I was out.
Wednesday was a pretty good day. Karen came in and got me up and actually the weather was pretty nice, no rain just overcast. I was trying to decide if I was going to cruise down to the support group or have my mom take me, Omar came in and volunteered so I had him drive me down there… He's so nice and considerate. I got all the way down to the hospital and then realized that the valve on my leg bag emptier didn't get opened and I'm starting to get chills and a headache. I found Leah, one of the therapists, in the gym and she opened it for me so I had a chance to go out and empty my leg bag before the meeting. Karen the therapist, another Karen, Roger and Lisa are the only ones that showed up. I was actually relieved that Jamie wasn't there, the shift that cooks for me was going to talk about his services. We had a really nice meeting and Jamie showed up with his son about 10 minutes before the meeting was over, his son is so adorable and so sweet… He gets it from his dad. I was afraid that everybody had to rush off but everybody stayed and listened to his introduction, people sounded really interested so I hope he gets a few more clients. Lisa and I were the last to leave so he gave Lisa a big bag of meals that he prepared, she was so excited to try them out. My mom came to get me, I was afraid it would rain on the way back. I got home and rested for a bit and then Rosa came in and put me to bed and we did some personal-care and a nice long hot bath, I was out before she left.
Thursday was a nice relaxing day. Lisa from Stanford called and canceled my appointment for today so I decided to just stay in bed, I canceled my appointment with Carol because of my appointment with Lisa. I thought about getting up but I'm glad I didn't because it rained pretty much all day, I just watched TV and watched it rain. Lisa told me she had to come to Santa Cruz, she lives in Watsonville, and she said that it is ridiculous out there… I'm glad she made it home safe. Rosa came in and sat me back up and it was so nice to just watch TV for the rest of the evening.
Friday was a pretty good day. Karen came in and got me up and Robby and I took of for cruise through the lagoon, down Westcliff Drive and back, down to the end of the wharf and back down to the end of the boardwalk and back. My Google Glass quit working when I got to the lagoon so you'll have to take my word for the rest of it, we had a really nice cruise. We came home and rested for a bit before Meaghan came into put me to bed, it took her a little while to get over the hill because they are still fixing the road where the landslide was. We did some personal care and I got to take a nice long pot bath in my awesome new bathroom, I just love it more each day. I watched TV for a while and then fell asleep.
Saturday was another great day. Cindy came in and got me up and Robby and I took off for a cruise around Santa Cruz, we stuck with our regular route. Everything looks so crisp and beautiful after the rain. Santa Cruz was really crowded, I don't know why everybody chooses to drive over the hill with only one lane… The mudslide is still blocking the other lane. Meaghan came in early because her coworkers were having a goodbye party for her, Friday was her last day at work. She works over the hill but lives in Capitola and chose to drive back over the hill on her day off, I know it was her last day to see her coworkers but that's just crazy. I hope she had a good time, I'm sure she did. I just relaxed and watched TV for the rest of the evening until my mom came down and put on my snorkel, I'm usually out within 1/2 hour after that.
Sunday was another gorgeous day. Cindy came in and got me and move some furniture around for me. I think it's a Gemini thing but I am constantly thinking about a different way I can have my furniture in my house, my house isn't that big so there isn't that many ways but I think of all of them anyway. Robby and I took off for a cruise but there was just too many people that came over the hill for me, everywhere I went it was really crowded. I found some more rocks on the Bay St., Park bench from the painted rock lady. On the weekends when it's crowded sometimes I would just rather stay in bed but the beautiful days are so limited these days I want to get up every nice day that I can, even if I just sit in my yard and enjoy the sun. I came back early because Meaghan was going to come in early to take me over to the charcuterie to get some pork belly for my miracle noodle kimchi soup, I found the recipe and I can't wait to try it. I can have a whole bowl and it's only six carbohydrates. I was telling the guy over at the charcuterie about the miracle noodles and he said he was excited to try them. We came back home and Meaghan put me to bed and made the noodles, they were awesome! To brush my teeth and wash my face and then she was gone and I watched TV until it was time to put on my snorkel and go to sleep.

That soup looks delicious, Tammie! Wow with all the mudslides, etc., in your area! That is good though because that meant rain and we know how important it is for California to get its rain. Such an inconvenience though with the roads.
