Monday was another great day. I got up and Robby and I cruised over to AT&T store to get my phone fixed, I keep getting a Sim card error. I went over there a couple of weeks ago with the same problem and the guy just rebooted my phone and told me that fixed the problem… Really?? That was the first thing I did, several times. I asked him if he could check the Sim card for me because my chair bounces around a lot maybe it came loose? He told me he didn't need to because what he just did fix the problem… Well it didn't. This time it was a lady and I asked her if she could just replace my Sim card and she did. We cruised over to cost plus world market, I just love seeing all the stuff in the place. We cruised down the reservoir but I didn't want to go too far because I just don't trust my chair anymore. We cruised through downtown and then I came back to see if my brother was still here, he drove Robert to the airport in San Jose and came over for a while. He always makes breakfast for us so Lisa made him breakfast, a poached egg over prosciutto over a portobello mushroom, sausage, pineapple and a gluten-free blueberry muffin… I have the same and it was pretty killer. My brother left and I took Robby for a cruise over to the lagoon but the battery indicator on my chair was low so I came back home, actually wanted to take some more pictures with Google Glass but after I got there I realized I didn't have them, I had my brother take them off. I have an Xbox at his motion control but I couldn't seem to get it to work in my chair, if my mom or brother stood by me it would pick up their motions but not mine… We tried everything. I'm pretty sure I've used it once before when my little brother was here so hopefully the problem can be fixed and I can use it, it's really good exercise and even from trying to get it to work I can feel the burning in my arms. I rested for a bit and then Rosa came to me to bed end I watched killer kids on the rest of the night.
Tuesday was a pretty good day. All of a sudden it's getting colder, I thought we were going to have more sun. I got up and Lisa took me to my sleep disorder Center appointment, they adjust my CPAP machine a little higher and told me to come back in six months. Then Lisa took me over to Costco, I love going to Costco but right now it's hard because I'm trying to not spend any money… I get a lot of my supplies at Costco and I just try to not look at anything else. We came back and I rested for a bit and I went to take Robby for a cruise through the looking, that's as far as we made it because it was too cold and I don't really trust my chair to go very far any more. Rosa came in and we did some personal care I got to take a nice long hot bath without jets, the Jets started not working a couple of days ago and now I need to find somebody to come out and fix them… Omar is in Mexico until March.
Wednesday was an exciting day and a frustrating day. I got up and took Robby for cruise down to Dominican rehab to meet with Roger and Karen about the new support group. It's going to be called Life on Wheels and I'm really hoping that it makes it this time. Our first support group is going to be April 1st, yes April Fools' Day… This should be exciting. We're going to start out having them once a month and then see what everybody wants to do from there. Trying to figure out a format but I think will do the same thing for that, I know what everybody else wants. On my way cruising down to Dominican rehab my chair stopped working 11 times, twice in the crosswalk… Not in the middle of the crosswalk but towards the end. This is really getting annoying! On the way back I think it only stopped once or twice, it only seems to do it when I'm on my way to an appointment. I cruised down to depot Park and they decided I should just head home, I don't want to get stuck somewhere and I really don't have anybody to come and rescue me. I rested for a while and then Rosa came in to put me to bed, it was cold so I warmed up and watch TV for the rest of the evening.
Thursday was a pretty good day. Robby and I cruised downtown for my appointment with my psychologist. Every Thursday and wait down at the bottom of the building because the elevator is not big enough for both Bobby and I, if I don't see anybody to take Robby up the stairs and meet me at the top than my psychologist knows to come down and get me. The first couple of times that I went there was a young man would really look at anybody and just kept his eyes on the ground. When we came in today he came in behind us and turn around and say hello and started talking to, it was so cool to see his confidence obviously building. I asked him if he would take Robby upstairs and make sure I was able to push the button inside the elevator and he was happy to do it. My appointment went great and I always leave they are in really good mood. I cruised up and down Pacific Avenue a couple of times and took pictures of various things, I'm running out of things to take pictures of in Santa Cruz. I'll be so glad when my chair gets fixed and I will be able to go on E. Cliff Dr., across the train track bridge. I started to cruise over to the wharf but my chair stopped working a couple of times so I thought I'd just better go home and wait for Kay to, and do my hair, today was just touchup and trim… I like my hair more and more each time she does it. We talked about in the summer going a little blonder, I like having it blonder during the summer. I rested for a bit and watched TV until Rosa came in, she put me to bed, fed Robby and I, we did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath.
Friday was a long and boring day. I almost stayed in bed because I just couldn't wake up this morning but I decided I better get up and it did turn out to be a really nice day as far as weather goes. I started out to take Robby for a cruise but my chair stopped working about 12 times just from here to the lagoon and back, only 2 miles. I came home and sat on the porch for a while and then just came in and watched TV until Teresa got here… She brought me steak Diane, shrimp scampi, red mashed potatoes and a piece of KahlĂșa cocoa coffee cheesecake from the cheesecake factory… It was great! She put me to bed and I just relaxed and watched TiVo for the rest of the evening.
Saturday was a pretty good day. The weather was really nice and is opening day for the Derby girls. I hired a professional organizer to come in and organize my house/garage, by the time the girls finished organizing one area three or four more are unorganized so wanted to get it all done at once open the girls will keep it up… We will see. The organizer's name is Leslie Fix, I don't know if she changed her name or if that's what it really was. She called me and said that her cat got hit by a car so she wanted to come a little bit later so we decided to just put it out for a week or two so she could take care of her cat. Robby and I cruised over to the lagoon and then over to the boardwalk to check out the clam chowder cookoff, there were a lot of people there. Usually they have all of the tents set up along the boardwalk but since they built the extension from where the arcade is they had been lined up there which left a lot of room on the boardwalk, usually I can't even cruise through there but it was nice to be able to check everything out… Of course I forgot my Google Glass so I didn't get any pictures of it. I came back home and rested for a bit, and can't believe I went about 5 miles in my chair didn't stop working once… Usually when I get somebody's attention to help me everything starts working again. Teresa came in and we went to Surfriders CafĂ© where I usually get Derby sliders before we go to the Derby Girls bout but this time I decided to try the lamb sliders and I'm so glad I did, they were pretty awesome. I also try some of Teresa's garlic Parmesan fries, do I even need to say how awesome they were?? We went on to the Derby Girls bout and it was so exciting, each time I go and learn a little bit more and I love it a lot more. I'm glad we finally found where we were supposed to be sitting so next time it will be a lot easier, we got season passes. We ran into Aki and Alex, they are the medical support team for the Derby Girls… They are there in case somebody gets hurt. One girl cut finger and it was bleeding a lot, I guess whenever there is blood they cover it with a napkin and then somebody goes along behind them types it up with alcohol. We came home and Teresa put me to bed.
Sunday was a boring day and I stayed in bed. I got an email from Melissa, the Numotion rep that is trying to help me figure out what is wrong with my chair, and she said that she's going to set up a meeting with Jack from Numotion to get my chair fixed… The problem with that is that Jack has known about my chair and all the problems since I bought it two years ago, I guess we'll just have to see how it goes… This time!
