Monday
Liberty came in, fed the dogs, got me some coffee, and I took the dogs over to Naomi's for obedience and exercise! The dogs adore her, and they usually come back tuckered out, which makes me happy!
When Liberty came back, we did some personal care and a nice, long, hot bath, then went back to bed. I've been getting up so much, and I really do love it, but every once in a while I like to have a day to spend in bed. I usually end up regretting it, but I also nap on and off all day. It's really nice. Liberty went back to get the dogs, drop them off, and then went home. Most of the time, I like it when Liberty comes in because she does one long shift instead of a split shift, so she's usually out of here by 6 PM, which gives me the rest of the evening to catch up on stuff I haven't been able to catch up on when I get up every day. I was able to catch up on my blog, delete my unwanted emails, and watch a couple of cop cam videos as well as a movie.
Tuesday
Amy came in and gave me an awesome massage. She brought me some pickled green beans, and I tried them right after she left; they were awesome! Liberty came in, fed the dogs, and then got me some coffee! She got me another cup of coffee, some breakfast casserole, some fruit, and half of the avocado. She got me dressed and up in my chair for the day. I took the dogs for their daily 2 miles. I can't believe that summer is over already. I was just getting used to these nice sunny days, and then Mother Nature just ripped it away. I hung out in my room with the dogs until Mya came in to put me to bed. I can't believe her summer vacation is over and she will be going back to college soon. I am so proud of her, but I'm going to miss her! After Mya left, I caught up on my blog, erased and wanted emails, and did a couple of nuzzles on Reddit before I fell asleep.
Wednesday
Haylee came in, fed and toileted the dogs, and got me some coffee, then breakfast. I pretty much have the same thing every day, but I'm not tired of it yet: egg casserole, fruit, half of a cheese bagel, and some fruit. I am in heaven with all of this delicious food that Ashlyn makes! She's not afraid to try different recipes, and I think next week I'm going to have her make me some linguiça for tacos and burritos! I can't wait!
I took the dogs out for their 2-mile cruise around the neighborhood; I'm starting to venture out to surrounding neighborhoods so I don't have to look at the same houses over and over. I love looking at houses in this area! I couldn't be happier here! I'm starting to meet a lot of the neighbors, and even though I feel really guilty for not being able to pick up after my dog, they are always nice and say hi!
Haylee came back and fed the dogs. I leave the door open a little bit every day so they can go out to potty. If I get a little chilled sitting in my room, I just go out and get in the sun until my caregiver comes in.
We did some personal care and a nice, relaxing hot bath. I can't wait to get my spot tub because I don't even fit in this tub, but it still feels good! Haylee put me back to bed, and I chatted with Monday, my GPT buddy. I started to watch a movie while we were doing some personal care, so I watched the rest of it and then watched it again. I usually drift in and out of sleep during personal care, so I watched the movie again in case I missed anything.
Thursday
Haylee came in and toileted the dogs, fed them, got me some coffee, got me some breakfast, get me dressed, up in my chair, got me some more coffee and some breakfast then waited around while I took Kona for her 2 mile cruise before she left, that's a busy schedule in the morning.
I'm trying to do everything I need to do in the mornings without having my family help, pretty soon my brother won't be around to help me in the morning. Robert and McKenzie are going to be around for a while and then they will be close by and they will still be able to help me, I feel like the most that I can do by myself the better because I would like to be more independent. If it wasn't for hooking the dogs up and taking them off my chair I know I can do everything else by myself.
Stanley hooked me up with Dude, I took him out for it 2 mile cruise and we came back home and hung out in the bedroom until I cooled down.
Maya came in and fed the dogs and the cat, she put me to bed after washing my hair and put on a hair mask. She got me something to eat, wash my face and brushed my teeth. She did a hand, foot, under eye, lip and face mask. I have a bunch of them in my closet so I figured we might as well use them up because our way expired. I like Mya because she likes to do the girly stuff and she likes to do it with me. I'm getting older so I need to take advantage of all my girly stuff. She went home and I did all the regular nighttime stuff before I went to bed.
Friday
Liberty hasn't been feeling well with morning sickness, migraines, Braxton Hicks cramps and all that fun stuff that you get when you're pregnant. So it's kind of been it crapshoot are not sure come in, luckily we always have somebody ready in case she can't make it. Morning sickness today so Haylee came in in her place. She fed the dogs, got me some coffee, got me some more coffee and breakfast before she got me dressed and up in my chair.
She hooked up Kona and we went for our 2 mile cruise, I got brave enough to venture off our usual path of just up and down the street because the same old scenery gets kind of boring. I'm always afraid that a stray dog is going to come around and attack my dog and they won't be able to do anything because they are tethered to my chair. It has happened a lot in Santa Cruz so I am always looking ahead to see what's coming at us.
We came back home and Stanley hooked up Dude and the way we went. CCI sent out I noticed that they would like to try and experiment and put a camera around the dogs necks so they can see what the dog does throughout the day so I figured what the heck? I filled out the application.
We came back home and hung out in the room and on the back porch waiting for Haley to come in, send a kid so hot in the afternoon around 2 PM she's been coming in so we can get our personal care and bath out of the way early and make it an early evening. That way I feel like I have time to unwind, play games, unwanted emails and read/answer emails. And that's just what we did.
Saturday
Brooklynn came in and fed the dogs and got me some coffee, we went on craigslist to see if there was any huge garage or yard sales. They had a big huge one at the fairgrounds so we decided to go. She got me another cup of coffee, something to eat, then got me dressed and up in my chair and off we went. I just love looking around at all the stuff, I also love when they added up at the end of the visit and everything is ridiculously inexpensive. Mostly these days I'm just looking for clothes and toys for the kids.
She drove me back home and hooked up Kona for our cruise, on the weekends I like to take her up to the elementary school. I love the fact that I have taught myself how to maneuver my chair to open and close the gate, I have gotten some really bad bruises on the top of my feet from catching them underneath the chain-link gate, you know how it's kind of jagged at the bottom?
We went back home and hung out in the room until Brooklynn came back in, on the weekend sometimes she will come in an hour or two early so we can get everything done. For the most part if I'm not going to be going anywhere or doing anything I would rather stay in bed and on my side to give my butt a rest. Sometimes she brings her husband, per sons and her daughter and they usually pitch in to do stuff. Our sons take care of the dogs and if we have any jobs to do around the house TJ helps us out.
They went home and I just relaxed and watched a couple of movies while playing games on Reddit. Stanley came in and put on my CPAP mask, let the dogs out, and put up their water so the dogs don't have to go out at like 2 PM in the morning.
Sunday
Brooklynn came in and we decided to try a different restaurant for breakfast so we tried a place that specialized in omelettes, I don't remember the name of the place but it actually had the word omelettes in its name. I had a California omelette with onion rings, yes onion rings for breakfast, and fruit. Brooklynn usually gets French toast but sometimes she bears away and gets some pancakes or something. Everything was delicious! On Sunday only after we eat then we take care of the animals, every other day of the week they come first but on Sunday we prefer to have our breakfast warm. Of course they sit around and stare like they haven't eaten for a week but we deserve it!
She got me some coffee, got me dressed and up in my chair and took off for the day. Usually nobody surround on Sundays until about 11 AM and lately they've been going after church to look at some open houses. Usually a lot of the family goes with them and I love to go to see the options and to get out of the house and have a nice drive around.
After they came home I took the dog simultaneously on their daily 2 mile cruise and then hung out in the front yard for a while until it got too hot and then came back to my room and waited for my evening caregiver.
Brooklynn has something to do so Mya is going to come in for her. She put me to bed, we did some masks, she did some organizing and then went home.
I started getting into these AI stories about kids that grow up and end up taking advantage of their parents because they can, in the stories that always turns out that the parents are millionaires and the kids never knew so the kids ended up getting what they deserve in the end.
I watched a movie while I played some games and fell asleep.
