Monday was a great day. I got up and José from Hil-Rom came over to fix my bed, the panels on the rails were shorting out and the functions were not working. I called him and told him and he said that he knew what the problem was and he would order the part and come out to fix it, is always so sweet and so prompt. It turns out that he needed an additional part though he will be back, at least he made it so one side of the bed works. I took Robby on a cruise through the lagoon, down W. Cliff Dr. and back and down to the end of the wharf and back. I stopped at one of the little stores on the wharf and got a couple of wooden plaques for the carport area. Omar had a great idea, he found his surfboard on the beach and he wants to hang it up in the carport area and put Santa Cruz stickers all over it… I love that! He came by yesterday to see if there was any leaks because I am already out my water usage limit and I still have 10 more days to go in the month, I can imagine where all the water is going. I took out my waterfall, pond and front yard so I just don't get it. Rosa came by and put me to bed and then Susan came to give me a massage, it sure felt great. She brought her new puppy Ori and her and Robby played for a bit and then hung out, they really like each other.
Tuesday was another gorgeous day. I got up and Omar was installing my stained-glass lighthouse box on my back porch, it looks amazing. Lisa took me over to Costco and by the time we got back there wasn't enough time to run Robby so I just waited around for Rosa to come in and put me to bed. My aunt came over to say hello, they had to cut their trip short because the van was acting up but she looked like she was in a good mood so that's great. Rosa put me to bed, we did some personal care and she gave me a bed bath… We're still conserving water.
Wednesday was a pretty good day. I got my new Google glass, the other one broke, software and be able to have Karen put it on my prescription boxes tomorrow and I will be trying it out on Friday. I got up and took Robby for cruise through the lagoon, down Westcliff Drive to the lighthouse Museum, to the end of the wharf and back into the end of the boardwalk and back… A nice long cruise. I came back and rested for a while and visited with Lexi. Rosa came to put me to bed and then Lee and Claudia came over to play cribbage, Lee and Claudia won and took our dollar and went home.
Thursday was a really great day. I got up and a guy from the water company came over to look at my water usage and bring us some water saving toys, thanks Justin! I took Robby for cruise and came back and Teresa was cooking greens and short ribs in the crockpot, it's going to be awesome! Teresa and I went over to Moboo's sushi for lunch, I had a calamari roll, miso soup and we split a plate of pickled vegetables and Japanese potstickers… I always forget what they're called. Then we went across the way and watch the movie Sex Tape, it wasn't our first choice but it was what was on and the turned out to be a really good movie. We came back and Shauna was here a while Teresa cooked Shauna and I did some personal care and a nice long hot bath, it's nice to know I can take a bath again. My mom went around and took some pictures of some of the blooming plants in my yard and of course my absolutely gorgeous lighthouse stained-glass window box lit up, it still feels like a dream.
FridayWas a pretty good day. I read on Facebook that there was a huge aircraft carrier parked somewhere in the ocean, I didn't quite understand where, but I do what it to see it. On Friday I get up later so I can stay up later for the concert on the beach and by the time I got up the pavement was too hot to take Robby on was Cliff Drive so we cruised around the lagoon, the wharf at the Boardwalk. They saw a guy out there pretty much all day building this really cool Sandcastle so I tried to take a picture of it but it was on the other side of the rail so I did get a very good picture, Kelly took a really good picture and sent it to be. I cruised Robby around and then went home to drop him off so I could go back and find the aircraft carrier and take a picture with my Google glass. I started down was clocked but does that quite battery was getting low and I still wanted to go to the concert so I turned around and came back. They cruised back down to work and trying to get some more pictures of that guy's awesome Sandcastle. Kelly texted me and asked if I wanted to go to the concert so I get them down at the wharf, of course the concert was awesome and I got a couple of the Santa Cruz commemorative beer cans. I came home and Shawna put me to bed.
Saturday I decided to stay in bed. Lisa came in but I was just exhausted, I couldn't even keep my eyes open. I kept falling asleep while she was doing my fingernails but they look great. I tried to sleep most of the day but I could. Shawna came in and put me on by side for a while, just to change my position.
Sunday was an awesome day. I have signed up to do the wharf to wharf race with Angie and her son Parker by Parker went on vacation so I asked Lisa if she would like to have his bid and she was thrilled. She came in about 5 AM to get me out because the race started at 8:30 AM, Angie met us here and we got there in plenty of time. I check my Google glass because I just knew there would be a lot of photo opportunities. It was a really nice race and we got towards the end I looked over to the right because I heard somebody calling my name and it was Teresa and her landlord, they came down to sheer us on and pick me up. By the time I got to Capitola Zelda's was so packed I didn't even try to go near the place, I was supposed to meet a friend that I used to work with. We walked downtown and Peter came to pick up Angie and I just kick back and waited for the traffic to die down centuries the could come and get me, it didn't take long. I came back and rested for a bit and then Tom, Kelly and their friends that were visiting from Fort Lauderdale came over to say hello. I have met him before and talked to her on Facebook so was nice to meet them in person. Shauna came in and we did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath, it feels great to take a bath again.

That race looked like fun, Tammie! I like the idea of the surfboard with Santa Cruz stickers and that stained glass picture is so pretty! You are right, it is muggy here too! Hoping we get back to normal weather soon!
betty
Hi Tammie. I found you through Betty. Enjoyed your pictures. It's not muggy here... Unseasonably cool.
