Stuck in bed again…

Monday was yet another day stuck in bed, I'm going stir crazy and even been stuck in bed it's hard to catch up on all the TiVoed programs. Teresa came in because Karen had the morning off and put all the batteries in all of the decorations that need batteries, it's going to get really loud around here but I love it. I can hear them working on the sidewalks outside, I can't wait until they're finished… Everything looks so nice. It's an adventure every day trying to figure out how to maneuver the streets of Santa Cruz around the reconstruction of the sidewalks. Rosa came in and turned me on my side for a while and then turned me back and left, I'm starting to feel like a pancake and being flipped so much.

Tuesday was an awesome day. The weather was perfect and I got to get up and get out of here. This is to me over to see my gastroenterologists nurses assistant Christine for a follow-up and it was great to see her, she is always so nice and has so much information. I don't have gas/bloating nearly as much as I did before I went to see her and she put me on the fod map diet… Actually I feel pretty great. I do still get gas but at least now I know what foods cause it and I can take Beno more a Lactaid pill and it will go away. I had another question that has been bothering me and she was able to answer that for me. On the right side of my stomach is always a huge lump and I'm afraid that that's where the bowels are getting stuck as grunge rock through my intestines. She said that there is a little sack there and that is where the solid meats the Bile and starts breaking down the food, that was a huge relief. After that we went over to the nursery on River Street and got some potting soil and some little river rock for our fairy garden. I had a water fountain that I was going to get rid of and Ed for Pacific security suggested that I make a fairy garden out of it so we're going to give it a try. They said is so creative and I know she will make something adorable. I decided to cruise back from the nursery with Robby to give him a little bit of exercise so we cruise down by world market and up to and along the reservoir to the boardwalk, through the boardwalk, down to the end of the wharf and back and then home. They are still working on all the roads around here so it's still kind of hard to maneuver around but it's getting easier, I can't wait to play are done because it will be so nice to cruise around and I will look nicer. I came home and rested for a bit and Rosie came in and for me to bed, just some personal care and I got to take a shower… Not as great as a bath but I slept really good.

Wednesday I'm back in bed again. Susan came over to give me a massage and that felt good, my neck and shoulders are still really tight and giving me problems. Physical therapist called and he will be here next Wednesday. The lady that hit me has the worst insurance ever, really hard to get hold of. I called her a couple weeks ago and she called me back and said she was the one handling my case and not to talk to anyone else and she will be back on the 20th, I have called her twice every day and she still is not calling me back.  I guess I will give her until Friday and then try to get a hold of someone else. Rosa came in and rolled me off my side and that's pretty much all I remember…

Thursday was a really great day. I got up and took Robby and Google glass for cruise, both of them were so excited about getting out and about again. We cruise through the wharf and then went over to pet smart to practice being a good dog with distractions, pets Mart is a really good place to practice. We cruised back down the reservoir was so thrilled to find out that I wasn't people hanging out on the side of the trail, I don't mind the people hanging out but it's their dogs who are not on a leash that make me nervous. We cruise all the way down to and through the boardwalk, I just wanted to sit there and enjoy my time being out.  They are extending the deck on the boardwalk and I just love to sit there and lean back and watch the progress, it's so exciting! The weather was perfect and everything looked beautiful, it really is beautiful but probably mostly because I've been stuck in this bed for so long. Teresa came by to do the payroll and bills and Lisa came by to put me to bed and do some personal care.

Friday was a long day. I stayed in bed because I thought I should and because the visiting nurse was coming to see the progress on my pressure sore. She told me that just because I have a pressure sore that doesn't mean I cannot get up, all of the other visiting nurses and advice from pretty much everybody else says to stay in bed and off of it. She said it will still heal but it just might take a little bit longer, she said is really good for your mental health to get up and outside… Especially when the weather is beautiful like this. Now she tells me? It's good to know because my question to her was when can I get up again so now I know and I will be up and out of here tomorrow. I have been talking about going through my closets for a long time, I really have a lot of clothes, I hate to get rid of anything but I think I might just have to. The closets don't look so crowded now, the closet in the front bedroom was pretty much empty so I moved all of my summer clothes in there and I will keep the winter ones back here and if the weather's nice just go up front and pick something out. I still need to go through the coat closet and then that out but maybe another day. Karen is really good at organizing my closets and she doesn't bug me to throw stuff away. Shawna came in and turned me over on my back, I had been on my side all day and my body was really getting annoyed.

Saturday was a great day. It stopped raining right before I got up and the weather was perfect the rest of the day, I know we need the rain but I just want a couple days up in the nice weather before it starts? I took Robby and cruised over to cost plus world market because I saw a couple of throw pillows when I was there the other day that I thought would look great on my couch, I wanted to get a picture of my valences and bring them there to make sure before I bought it… Somebody got there before me because they were gone. They had a sale on scarves, buy one get one free, so I bought some… I love wearing scarves. Lisa picked me up and we went over to Cosco, it has been a long time since I have been there and I needed pretty much everything. I came back to the house and rested for a bit and then took Robby for cruise through the lagoon, through the Bay St., Park and back home. It is so nice to have Google glass back so of course I had to take a bunch of pictures. Shauna came in and put me to bed and I just watched TV the rest of the evening.

Sunday was a pretty good day. For some reason in the morning I just couldn't keep my eyes open, even after a couple coffee, so I decided to just stay in bed for one more day. Lisa came in and fed Robby and I and planted some more roses on the side of the driveway, I just love watching everything grow. Teresa came in and we did some personal care and although I still can't take a bath I got to take an over the bath shower, a lot colder but still very effective.

Those flower pictures are so gorgeous Tammi! I do always like the pictures you take with the Google Glass! When the lady hit you in her car, did you call the police? It just seems not right that she was at fault and you are having trouble dealing with the insurance company. They should be bending over backwards to help you with anything that needs to be done since she was at fault!

Thank you so much Betty. I have so much fun with Google glass. The lady was actually really nice it's the insurance company that I'm having a problem with, I can't believe that!
