I hope this week is better than last week…

Monday was a pretty good day. Robby and I both slept well and I got up and decided to take Robby for a cruise to the wharf and back, he just looked so happy to be out and about. I thought about waiting one more day just to make sure he doesn't overdo it but unwise I didn't, he just makes me smile. We came back and rested for a bit and hung out on the back porch with my mom and Kelly until Rosa got here, the weather was perfect. Susan came by to give me a massage, it's been a while and it sure felt great. Usually I tense up but I made myself relax and it didn't hurt as much, I was told that what happened. I got a movie from Netflix and had Karen pointed in my computer so I can watch it, it was good Will hunting. I found out later that day that Robin Williams passed away. She was such a great man and so talented and funny, I am in total shock. Depression should be taken very seriously.

Tuesday was a nice relaxing day.  Karen came in and we did some personal care. I decided to stay in bed again and give Robby one more day of relaxation before we get back into the routine. He seems to be doing really good although I'm still giving him his pain pills so he can sleep good at night, they're not very strong. Omar came by to work on the graywater system, it is looking really good time so excited about it. Rosa came in and I got to take a nice long hot bath. We got to try out the graywater system you know?

Wednesday was a great day. I thought it was going to be about 68° but it turned out to be about 74°, perfect weather. I took Robby for a cruise to the end of the wharf and back and then down to the boardwalk and back home. I didn't want to go on the boardwalk because I didn't have Robby's vest, I didn't wanted to pull on his stitches. I called the vet and set up an appointment for Robby to help his stitches taken out on Saturday, I'm sure there would be glad to get rid of them. He was so bouncy and happy today and just couldn't wait to get out to go for a cruise, back to his old self.

Thursday was a great day. I got up and made Robby an appointment to get his stitches taken out Saturday, when he first got hurt the time went by so slow and now that he's feeling better the time is going by fast again. I haven't been going to the lagoon because they're doing a bunch of road work the next street over, I could go down the second street over but there is a house that has about three or four dogs and they are always outside and it makes me nervous, I don't want Robby to get hurt. We cruise down to the end of the wharf and back and then up to Westcliff Drive, the weather was beautiful. We cruised back down to the wharf and then headed home. We rested for a bit and then Charlie in Terri came by to deliver a quilt and a wall hanging that I ordered from her on Etsy, she makes the most beautiful quilts. I got one for Cassidy and her new baby, the one that's on the way, and the wall hanging I got for me because it is so adorable. We visited for a while and they showed me a couple of places that they are looking for, they are moving. Both places that they looked at were absolutely gorgeous. Teresa came and took me to my appointment at Central Coast sleep disorder Center, the doctor upped the pressure on my CPAP machine. I feel so much better since I have been wearing the machine, I sleep better and my head is a lot clearer because I'm finally getting the sleep that I need. We came back home and Shauna put me to bed, just some personal care and gave me a nice long hot bath while Teresa made me some sukiyaki, put together some meals for the next couple of days and did payroll. The weather was perfect, I hope it stays like this for tomorrow when Marica comes to visit, I am really excited!

Thursday was a pretty incredible day. My long time and childhood friend Marica came to visit and stay overnight. I always feel so comfortable as well as happy when she is around, she is just that kind of person. We sat on the back porch and visited for a while and pretty soon it was time to go to the concert, tonight was Eddie Money and my caregiver wasn't coming until 10 PM so we to see both the 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM concert, first time I have ever seen both and first time that I have ever seen the 8:30 PM concert. The bands always played longer during the second show and is so beautiful when it's dark and all the lights are on not only the stage but behind it you can see all the boats and the wharf lit up, just amazing. Tom, Marica and I went to the Ideal Restaurant before the concert and have a great meal. I had salmon, coconut rice and broccoli and carrots. Tom had fish and chips and Marica had a BLT and everything looked really good. We stopped to take a couple of pictures and then went on to the content everybody there was so happy and we had a great time talking to the strangers around us. Susan, my massage therapist, texted me and said they were holding a place for us right in front of the stage but since we stopped to eat she couldn't hold it anymore because she had her kids with her and they wanted to go on the rides. They came back by to say hello. We run a couple of rows back but as long as I could hear the concert I was happy. After the first concert a couple of people in front of us left so we scooted up and were right in front. Eddie Money always puts on a really awesome show, he has performed there every year since 1973. His show now includes his daughter Jessie and every once in a while his godson, I can't remember his name, who works at Safeway in San Jose. I used to see him all the time so it was really cool to see him at the concert, she is autistic and plays are really mean harmonica. On our way home after the second show I got a text from my mom saying that my aunt Bobby her and her husband Earl were here to visit for a couple of days, I haven't seen aunt Bobby for several years and it was really great to see her. Everybody was exhausted so we visited for a while and then went to sleep.

Saturday was another really great day, I just love having company. I got up and we visited in the living room for a little while and then decided to go cruise around the lagoon and take pictures, it's such a beautiful place.  As we were leaving Rich, Sue, Seth, Luana and Melia stopped by outside to pick up some water at my uncles house, they were going to a barbecue. It was nice to visit with them out front for a while. The weather again was really perfect and we didn't want to come home because that meant Marica had to go home, this time went by so fast and we had such a great time I wish she could have stayed longer but she will be back. Robby had an appointment at Westside animal hospital to get his stitches out so we cruise down there and they did take some stitches out but decided he needed to keep some of them until next Thursday, I guess it's better to be safe than sorry? I took Robby for a cruise down to the end of the wharf and back and came back and Omar was just finishing up the graywater system, he put a switch on the pump. I tapped him for a while and leaned back in the sun, it just felt great. Kelly made everybody and BLT with pepperchinis, it tasted really good. Stanley showed up in the afternoon, that was a nice surprise. Rosa came over and made cheese enchiladas and guacamole for everybody. Is that cool or what?? Rosa put me to bed and my mom, my aunt and her husband, Stanley, Kelly and I played cribbage. My hands was my partner and we won two games. It feels so good to have family and friends around.

Sunday was another gorgeous day. I got up and went outside to take pictures of the finished graywater system that Omar set up, she did such a great job. I took Robby for a cruise through the lagoon and down to the end of the wharf and back. Lisa picked me up in the parking lot by the wharf and took me over to Trader Joe's to get some stuff for grilling pizzas. We came back home and rested and visit for a bit and then Kelly came over to grill the pizzas. We sat outside while she made three different pieces on the barbecue. One was avocado, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella, one was sun-dried tomatoes, olives and mozzarella and one was salami, pepperchini and mozzarella… All were delicious. Teresa came by to give me an ionic detoxification foot bath, the water was really brown and frothy by the end… So gross! She put me to bed and we did some personal care and then I got to take a nice long hot bath. Such an awesome, perfect day!

What kind of a week is this going to be…

Monday I felt a lot better but still a little twinge every time I look one way or the other so I decided to take a nice long hot bath and see how I felt. After the bath I just felt exhausted and drained so I decided to stay in bed one more day.I dozed in and out all day and that was kind of nice. Rosa came by to get her check and I told her that she didn't need to come in and that my mom would feed Robby and I.  José called and said that the part for my bed finally came in and he would be over tomorrow to put it on, the top rail on the right side hasn't been working and boy is that a real pain in the butt. Everybody will be so glad when it is fixed. Susan came at 8 PM to give me a massage, she brought Ori to hang out with Robby… They are such good buddies. Of course Robby ran into the front yard and started eating sand dollars and then came into the bathroom and threw up a lot, he threw up again and started screaming so often the emergency vet. Thank goodness Susan was here to take him. The nurse called me to get some information and I could hear Robby screaming in the background, just breaks my heart. They are x-raying him right now to see if they're going to be able to get him to throw it up or if they're going to have to do surgery. I just want him to get better and come home. they did an x-ray on Robby and he still has a couple of pieces of sand dollar in his lower intestines, if it was in his upper intestines with acid from his stomach would disintegrate it but it's of the lower intestines so all they can do is either wait to see if it passes or do surgery to take them out. If they leave them in there and wait for them to pass it could cut through his intestines and that they would have to do surgery anyway. I told them to just go ahead and do the surgery so he won't have any more pain, that means two weeks of taking it easy and he's not going to like that but that's what needs to happen. The doctor just called and said that Robby came through surgery okay, they didn't have to cut into his G.I. tract so that's great. I get to bring him home tonight or tomorrow night. Now I can get some sleep, even though Lisa comes in in 15 minutes. But the good news is my puppy is okay!
Tuesday I was still a little bit sore and Robby wasn't here so I really wanted to just stay in bed and sleep but José was coming to fix my bed and he needed me to be out of it so I got up. Lisa did my fingernails and then Kelly came over and we decided to go have lunch at the picnic basket. We both had the beet Sandwich which has of course beets, hummus, wasabi and lettuce on wheat bread… Very delicious. I also got a piece of carrot cake loaf, the first time my holiday was a lot better. We got one for my mom also and we came back and ate it on the back porch. Rosa came in to put me to bed, do some personal care and take a bath although the bathwater was cold so that was cut short. That's good I guess because I basically slept through the whole thing.
Wednesday I was still a little tired and sore so I decided to stay in bed, I didn't have Robby around to cruise with me so I wasn't in the mood anyway. Karen painted my toenails so they would match my fingernails but then I decided it would probably be best if I didn't go to Tiffany's graduation party, it would've been nice to see her and Roxy but I think it was too much excitement for Robby. They called me when Robby was ready and Kelly went over to pick him up. You could tell he was happy to be home but just worn out and slept the rest of the day. I just relaxed and watched TV. Somehow through all this I picked up a UTI so that explains why I am so tired and not feeling good, drink lots of water…
Thursday was another sad day. It just breaks my heart to see Robby wandering around in pain. I got up just to take him for short walks so he won't get stiff and because I had an appointment at the sleep disorder Center. I got all the way over to the sleep disorder Center and my appointment is next Thursday, I can't believe I wrote down the wrong day. Since we were out we decided to stop at Charlie Hong Kong's and get some pad Thai noodles with garlic tofu and prawns, it's been a long time since I've had that and it was awesome. We got back and Shauna came in to do some personal care but again no bath because no hot water. Teresa said it look like the fire went out on the water heater but nobody wanted to touch it, I can't really blame them. I sent a message to Omar and he said he would come and check on it tomorrow.
Friday was another frustrating day. Robby was uncomfortable all night and all morning so I couldn't take it anymore and called the vet, they said after four days he shouldn't be this uncomfortable and to bring him back in so Kelly took him in for me. They said everything looked good but they kept his pain medication, thank goodness because I can't stand to see him in pain and uncomfortable. They said to put a warm washcloth on the incision for five minutes at night, good luck with that… Omar came by and fixed the water heater so I get to take a bath tonight, I'm so excited. Karen did some more personal care, I was a little backed up because I took a couple of Vicodin and a couple of tramadol when my back/neck/shoulders were hurting. Come to find out it was a bladder infection. Omar went and got the tank for my graywater system, I'm so excited about that. He's going to come back tomorrow and hook it up. I decided to just in bed and not go to see starship tonight at the concert on the beach, it would've been nice to go but I'm just too worried about Robby and I want to be here with him.I was getting ready to settle in and watch some TV and when I heard Shawna talking to someone outside saying "oh your home" I couldn't imagine who she was talking to because I know my mom was upstairs. Pretty soon I heard a knock on my door and in comes my brother Stanley and my nephew Robert, what a great surprise. Robert was getting ready to go away to college in Oregon to be with his brother, and go to college, so they decided to come by for one last weekend before he goes. We visited for a while and then Seth and his friend came over to see if I wanted to watch a movie, they said they would come back later but they didn't… You know how teenagers get distracted.

Saturday was a really great day. I got up and I could smell bacon, one of the best feelings in the world. My brother came down with an omelette, bacon and some toast with butter for breakfast. I think there must of been about six pieces of bacon and a quantity them all but I only ate two, it was really hard. I only ate one piece of toast and half of the omelette, I was pretty proud of myself because I wanted to devour it all. Luckily Lisa was here and she helped me out so I didn't feel like it was going to waste. I took Robby for a short cruise over to the lagoon and back and he seems to be doing much better but I didn't dare go any further. Robby and I hung out most of the day in the backyard, it's so beautiful back there and the weather was perfect. I was trying to get some music on my TV and my computer so I could listen to it outside but it just wasn't working. I got Cromecast a while back but haven't really used it that much and I don't know why because it's awesome. I figured out how to watch Netflix on my TV and yesterday I was trying to get iTunes to play on my TV so I can listen to it outside and I think I figured it out and downloading my iTunes library right now, at least I hope it is because it sure taking a long time. I thought I would be nice to be able to get some Bluetooth speakers so I could listen to my library on my phone so I started looking and I saw the Bose Bluetooth speakers and thought "hey, I have that so why am I looking" I texted Tom and asked him if he still had it over there and he brought it back so didn't buy anything else… I can't wait to try it out. My brother Stanley came down and we hung out for a while, did I mention what a nice surprise it was to have him and my nephew Robert come to visit? We decided to go to Ristorante Italiano for dinner, everyone time they take people there they are always satisfied. Stanley and Robert had cioppino, my mom had pasta with bacon, prosciutto and caramelized onions and I had calamari pasta… Once again everybody was happy. We were all stuffed but decided to get a couple of desserts and everybody try a bite of each one, we decided on a cannoli because Stanley always heard them rave about them on everybody loves Raymond and wanted to try one and we also decided to try the key lime pie because the server said it was her favorite… Both of them were awesome. We came back and Shauna was here sewing, she came early to watch Robby so we didn't have to take him with us. Some of me to bed and my brother and nephew went home, it was sad to see them  go but we had a great time. Omar texted me and said that he was fishing and fell so that's why he didn't come over today to hook up the graywater system to the tank, he texted me a picture and it looked pretty bad BUT he caught an awesome fish so he was happy.

Sunday was kind of a lazy day. Robby still wasn't feeling his best so I decided to stay in bed and rest. Lisa came in and put some succulents on a couple of topiary balls I had in the garage and replanted a spider plant that was way too big for what it was planted in, she is so creative and loves doing that kind of stuff. Teresa came in and we did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath, it felt great.

The weather is getting warm here again…

Monday was a pretty good day but then any day I get to get out of bed is a good day. Robby and I took off or might keep cleaning appointment. It's funny how it seems EVERYTHING is about a mile away from my house, the Boardwalk/wharf, downtown, the shopping center that has Ross and world market, my dentists… It wasn't the usual lady and hopefully the usual he is still there because I really liked her, even though I can't remember her name and I have to call her Lady. After my teeth cleaning appointment lobby and I cruised down to world market, cost plus, I want to look at everything they have in there because everything is so unique. Robby practiced hitting the button that makes the light change, he is so good at that and everybody laughs because it's so cute. Then we cruised down to the wharf but I didn't want to go too far on the wharf because I didn't know how hot it was and I didn't want to burn Robby's feet. We cruised back home I ran into Kelly out in front and visited with her for a while. Rosa came in to put me to bed and Susan never showed up so I guess no massage tonight. I get to just relax and decide whether I want to watch movies or TiVo.

Tuesday was a great day. I got up and Lisa took me over to the Capitola Mall to return some gel pillows that I bought online from kohl's, I ordered two online and they just kept sending them to me… I think I ended up with six. I also went into Victoria's Secret's to get some more of their love spell mist, I love that stuff. I came back and Omar was putting stickers all over the surfboard that he found and he hung it in the carport, it looks so cool. He also hung the surfboards with the succulent plants in them. It was a great day. Rosa came in and we did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath.

Wednesday was another beautiful day. I got up and decided to look through my closet and start to wear some of the dresses that I have in there, man I have a lot of dresses. There's some really pretty ones in there that I didn't even know I had. Instead of wearing the same old thing every day I need to mix it up a little bit. I was trying to find something to wear to a graduation but I'm going to next month, Robby's sister's mom is having a graduation party and her family invited me. It's in Los Banos and it is going to be very hot. I took Robby for a cruise through Depot Park, to the end of the wharf and back and to the end of the boardwalk and back. I stopped to watch the performance of Lost at Sea, and keep missing the beginning but one of these days I will see it all the way through. I came back and rested for a bit and then Rosa came to put me to bed. It's nice to be out and about again with my Google glass.

Thursday was a really great day. It was so nice to get out and go over the hill and spent some time on the other side. I have an appointment to take my van in the general maintenance and to fix the lift. The guy said he was can have to tear up the whole floor board so was going to take a while and we were pretty much out in the middle of nowhere. There was one Vietnamese restaurant that Teresa said she went to one time in the potstickers were not good, kind of scary. We decided to get spring rolls, shrimp egg rolls, deep-fried chicken wings and Vietnamese coffee… It was EXCELLENT, everybody was happy with it.  I forgot to bring my Google glass so Sean and took pictures for me. I have Vietnamese coffee in San Francisco one time and just fell in love with it. We really have to wait too long after we got the van back Teresa, Shauna and I went to an asian market and found a bunch of stuff that we couldn't do without, stuff we can find around here. We came home and Shauna and I did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath, there was a great day!

Friday was another great day. My mom look me up at 6 AM with breakfast, I guess I'm lucky that I get breakfast in bed every day? I fooled around on the computer for a while and watched some shows on TiVo and the ladies came in at 8 o'clock to clean my room. Karen came in and got me up and I wanted to hurry and get outside before the payment was too hot for Robby's feet but when I got outside to my surprise it was really cool. We cruise through the lagoon, down W. Cliff Dr. and back, down to the end of the wharf and back and down to the end of the boardwalk and back. The band tonight was Y&T, people kept asking me what that stood for so I looked it up… Yesterday and today. I didn't really want to go see them because I wanted to go to bed early and relax and watch some TV.  I came home and it was so beautiful I hung out outside for a while with my mom and Kelly. Shawna came in and fixed me some bok choy with garlic, ginger and coconut oil… It was AWESOME.

I have Saturday all planned out and then I ended up staying in bed, so frustrating. I woke up in the left side of my back underneath my shoulder blade hurts so bad that I could barely move. Lisa fed and I and then gave me a couple of Cosco's version of Tylenol PM's, I thought I could sleep it off. I dozed off a few times but something always woke me right back up. By the time Shauna got here it was hurting even worse. My first thought was a pinched nerve and that is what Shawna said when she came in. She massaged my neck and shoulder for a while and that helped. My aunt came in and she gave me a massage for a while and at least and moved from my back to my neck, I think it's working its way out. My aunt took classes so she's always really good at finding where it hurts, by the heat and the bulging muscles. It feels a little better but every once in a while it gets really bad, at least it's not a constant. By 2 AM it was so bad I had my mom come down and give me a Vicodin, after an hour there was still in so much pain I took another one… I hate that stuff. Unfortunately I took it on an empty stomach and although it helped with the pain my stomach was so upset I didn't get much sleep.

By Sunday I didn't feel any better, so much pain. My neck was still hurting really bad and I didn't even want to move. I can't remember the last time I was in so much pain I just wanted to cry. Teresa came by and we did some personal care but unfortunately no bath, I didn't even want to be moved enough put on the sling so I decided to wait until morning.
