Tuesday was a pretty good day. Cindy had a doctors appointment at 8 AM so my mom came down and fed the boys and Penny and brought me a cup of coffee. I was going to stay in bed but I remembered how bored I was the other day when I stayed in bed so when Cindy came in I went ahead and got up, I wanted to go grocery shopping anyway. I took Robby for a cruise through depot part and I started to go down the wharf when I remembered that Robby no longer has public access and cannot go in public places where dogs are not allowed, I don't put his vest on anymore hoping that that will remind me but I forget anyway… Old habits… Cindy went to pick up my new foyer lift and I thought they would've put it together but it was still in the box, I was wondering why she said it was so happy she didn't know she could get it out of the van by herself… Omar will hopefully put it together tomorrow. We drop Robby off and took Dude and went grocery shopping. I had her drop me off at Bay St., Park and Dude and I cruise down to the wharf, down to the boardwalk and then home the boys and I just went out for a while until Rosa came in to put me to bed. I had a bison burger with lettuce leaves instead of a bun and it was really good. I watched a couple of movies that I had downloaded earlier until I fell asleep.
Wednesday was a great day. Susan came in and gave me a really nice long massage, it felt great! Karen came in and we did some personal cable and we didn't have time for a nice long hot bath but I got a shower, I felt so much better after. She got me dressed up in my chair and I took Dude into Karen took Robby and they walked us down a little past the Salvation Army building and she brought Robby back and I took Dude and we cruised downtown to my appointment with Jessica to get my hair done, it had been almost a month and it was such a relief. After my hair appointment I texted Rosa to see if she wanted to meet me down at the wharf to have dinner at Olita's, a Mexican restaurant on the second floor of the wharf. I had been there once before and the food was awesome and I kept wanting to go back so I figured it was a good time. We had a really nice dinner and a guy from one of the barbecues we had here came up to say hello, he was also friends with Cindy and Shelly… A couple I met at Depot Park when I played wheelchair table tennis. It just reminded me of how nice everybody was and I can't wait to have another barbecue, I told the guy I got a table tennis table and we would have another barbecue soon and invite Cindy and Shelly. We cruise down to the end of the wharf and we ran into a couple of guys that we saw when we first hit down the wharf, I see them there working almost every day and they always call me ma'am… I think next time I will introduce myself so they can call me by my name, ma'am always makes me feel so old and I think they are both as old as me if not older. I also ran into a guy that used to help out Tammie at the Segway tour business, he stopped one day while on the floor and we talked for a while. I ran into him a couple of times but he moved down to Monterey and opened his own Segway tour business but was helping out Tammie, it was nice to see them both. We headed back home and Rosa put me to bed, such a great day! I watched a couple of movies on lifetime movie network and then fell asleep.
Thursday was a good day. Karen came in and fed the boys and the girl and not be dressed end up in my chair for the day. While in getting dressed I'm trying to figure out who I should take out first and Figure out how to maneuver around Santa Cruz today, the roadwork is still going on and even though everybody is extremely nice and helpful I still feel awkward making people escort me around the construction.I took Robby with me first and we cruised through the lagoon, And down to the wharf before we headed downtown to my appointment with my psychologist. Unfortunately, I had to come back several times to exchange Dogs.I came back and got DudeAnd we cruised up to Safeway to pick up my prescription, After a week like this I really need my anxiety medication LOL.We cruised back through Bay St., Park, Down to the end of the wharf and back and down through the boardwalk before I noticed the battery on my chair was getting really low and I better get home because who knows how much more maneuvering I will have to do in the streets to get to my house?I hung around with the boys for a while and watch TVUntil Rosa came in to put me to bed.I had a really nice dinner and fell asleep.
Friday was a great day. Karen came in and we did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath. She got me dressed and up in my chair and I decided since it was going to be a really long day I'll take out Dude first and then come back later on and get Robby, Karen had to go to the bank so she took Robby with her. I try not to make as many trips in and out of the cul-de-sac as I usually do because of all the roadwork but to my surprise they are finished and they retard Laurel Street out in front of the cul-de-sac, what a nice surprise that was. We started to cruise through the lagoon but I can see the trucks blocking the pathway so I turned around and we went through Depot Park, down to the end of the wharf and back, down to the end of the boardwalk and back, down to the end of the wharf and back again, down Westcliff Drive to the first turn out and then back home through Depot Park. My phone was dying so I left it here to charge while I took Robby and we went to cruise through Depot Park when I noticed that my battery was getting low so I decided to just come back and charge my chair for an hour also. My mom felt the boys, Penny and I and I left everybody here and headed down to the free concert on the beach… Tonight was smash mouth. I found a really good place out in front of the stage and Trish came to join me, it was a great concert! Towards the end they just had everybody on stage and in the audience jumping up and down… I don't know that I have ever seen that in any of the concerts that I've gone to on the beach. We cruised back home and Theresa was here washing my clothes, she stopped to put me to bed and get me a snack. She finished washing the clothes and left, I watched TV for a while and then fell asleep.
Saturday was a pretty good day. Cindy came in and fit the gang and got me dressed and up in my chair. I took Robby out for a cruise through the lagoon, over to the wharf, over to the boardwalk and back. I have been craving chili beans and cornbread so I looked up a recipe for both on the Internet and Cindy took me shopping to get what we needed and then dropped Dude and I off by Bay St., Park and we cruised through the park, down Westcliff Drive to the first turn out, down to the end of the wharf and back and then home. I stopped by the Paradise dogs to say hello to Bart and ask him the name of his Instagram page, he emailed it to me before but I never got the email. He has a dog that is trained to hunt people down, sniff out drugs and help save people… He told me I had a bunch of videos on his Instagram account so wanted to look them up. I came home and looked them up and they were awesome! There is nothing happier and better than a working dog, except a working spoiled dog which I have both of… I came home and rested for a bit and then Theresa came in to feed the gang and put me to bed, I had chicken, asparagus, mushrooms, zucchini and onions and a couple of gluten-free peanut butter cookies… And of course coffee. Theresa put all the ingredients for the chili beans in the crockpot and tomorrow for lunch I will be eating chili beans and cornbread… I can't wait. I watched TV for a while and listen to music.
Sunday was a pretty boring day. It was supposed to be record-breaking heat today so I decided to stay in bed and it didn't look like it was any hotter so I was really bummed, there was a taco and tequila Festival downtown that I wanted to go to. Cindy came in and made some cornbread to go with the chili beans and that was awesome! I watched a movie called Fun Mom Dinner it was pretty funny and I also watched Magic Mike, I think I'm the only one in the world that has not watched that yet so I figured I might as well. It was also pretty good. Theresa came in and fed my little furry friends and I and then set me back up, I was laying on my side all day. I listen to some music and watch some more TV trying to drift off to sleep, next week is going to be really busy. I have two Saratoga Mountain winery concerts, ZZ Top and the Doobie Brothers on Tuesday and Chicago on Wednesday. Next Friday is the last concert on the beach of the season, it's going to be papa do run run.
