The last week before Halloween…

Monday was a pretty boring day. Karen came in and we ended up having to do some personal care but at least I got to take a nice long hot bath before going back to bed for the day. I pretty much watched TV all day. I was going to get up but there wasn't enough time, it's going to start raining so I like to get out and enjoy the days as long as I can.  Yvonne from Numotion called and I expected her to set up an appointment for Deanna to come and install my new balance, it's almost exactly a month since he came here and I thought order them. She said that she had to let me know that there was going to be a co-pay before she orders him… Are you serious?? After a month? Today is Rose's birthday so I was glad that I was able to get her the evening off, I hope she did something nice.

Tuesday was boring and frustrating. Cindy was supposed to come in and get me up and take me to my appointment at my doctor's office to check my A1c, a couple of other vaccinations and flu and pneumonia shot but she messaged me last night and said that she's not feeling good and not going to be able to make it in. I messaged Karen but she works at her other job so not much I can do. My mom came down and fed Robby and I and I just watch TV again all day. My aunt came from across the street to bring me bananas, they don't like to eat bananas when they have any kind of brown on them so my mom and I will keep them or feed them to Robby or Karen will make banana muffins out of them. She said that she ended up back at the doctors because of her heart, the doctor says it's stress and she has a lot of it. How do you stop yourself from worrying about family and things? She said that Kelly said she thinks that Seth is getting ready to run, he was staying with Kelly to see if of environment change for calm him down but it hasn't. He is 18 now so he could do whatever he wants and my aunt and cousin are not responsible for his actions more. They fear he is going to come back here, that's what he's been talking about, but he's going to need to stay away from everybody because nobody can help him… We have all tried. Rosa came in and fed Robby and I and took out the garbage.

Wednesday was a really good day. Karen came in and got me up and I didn't really want to go anywhere because I'm afraid that my batteries will last and I have an appointment. I called Yvonne at Numotion to give her my credit card for the co-pay, she didn't even ask for it when she called Monday, I want to make sure that there's not going to be any more holdups. I cruised down to my appointment with Jennifer for my facial/waxing. I was sitting out in front of the building and I saw a car pull up and the lady rolled down the window and said "hello Tammie" I recognized her right away, it was Risa. Her and her husband Jim moved to Florida two years ago. I ran into them several times on Westcliff Dr., Risa is a puppy raiser and she has Robby's grandma Inez although she told me that Inez passed away. They were down visiting and she said she was going to call the CCI representative in this area to find out how to get a hold of me, small world. I got to talk to them for a couple of minutes and I gave her one of my cards to get in touch with me so we can meet up later. I had my appointment with Jennifer, I always feel so fresh and clean when I leave. Robby and I cruised over to the wharf and then back home to rest for a bit.  While I was cruising down the wharf I saw this older lady with a little Chihuahua and right in front of me the dog pooped so I stopped to offer the lady a bag. She stopped to look at what her dog did and then just kept on going. I wanted to say the same thing to her that the guy said to me "would you like to have a bag to clean that up" but I know she would've just ignored me and I would've just pissed me off. Rosa came in and we did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath, such a great feeling. My mom came down around midnight holding Salsa in her hands and he had passed away, she said she heard him hit the bottom of the cage and he wasn't moving. She thinks that either have a heart attack or he fell and broke his neck, I'm glad that he went fast and didn't have to suffer. It's really heartbreaking because that was her baby, we have the other birds buried in the back yard by a birdbath and that's where we will bury this one. She said no more animals at the next morning she was talking about another small Conure that she saw at pet Smart and she was talking about going to see if it was still there, I hope she gets it because that would be pretty cool. I would have one if I could just teach it to talk but I think it would be too much care for everyone else.

Thursday wasn't a very good day but it was nice to be up. Karen is on vacation so Cindy came in to get me up before she goes to work. I have been trying to state gluten-free and over the last couple of weeks I haven't been following my diet very well and I'm just extremely bloated and uncomfortable so I can't wait to get my stomach back to normal. The strings on my back brace broke a week ago that I ordered a new one but it hasn't gotten here yet so we've been using two different braces and trying to get them to work together but they don't work very well, it would help if I wasn't so bloated… It looked like it was going to rain all day and I really wanted to stay in bed but I have my appointment with Carol my psychologist at 11 AM and I didn't want to miss it. I was running late because I slept through Cindy coming in and she didn't want to wake me, I always hear the door and at least hear her coming into my room but this time I didn't. I didn't get to wash my hair and I left Robby here and just cruised downtown to my appointment, it only took me 15 minutes. I came back to get Robby and my water but my brace was coming undone and there was a threat of rain so I just relax and watch TV. I've been watching the series called Shameless and really enjoying it. Rosa came in and put me to bed and I watched more TV.

Friday was a nice relaxing day. Cindy came in to get me up but I kept looking at the weather and it was supposed to be thunderstorms so I decided to stay in bed. Cindy put me on my side and then went on to work. Omar came in to carve some pumpkins but since I stayed in bed we decided to come back and do it tomorrow, he buried my moms bird in the backyard by the birdbath where the other birds are buried. My intention was to watch a couple of movies but the day just went by too fast. Meaghan came in and we did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath, I got these Himalayan stones and put them in the bathwater and I don't know if it was that but I was extremely relaxed, I fell asleep as soon as I got to bed.

Saturday was a really great day. Cindy came in and got me up and Omar was going to come over and carve some pumpkins for me but we couldn't find the carving tools or the patterns so I told him I would go out and look for some and he said he would come back tomorrow. My first stop was Walgreens and they have a lot of candy but no carving materials or patterns. I cruised down to CVS and they did have some carving tools but no patterns, they look like they were almost out of everything. We Chris downtown to Palace arts and bookshop Santa Cruz and couldn't find anything. I looked online before I left and I found some patterns but not big enough and I don't know how to blow them up. I will look for some more online in the morning. I came back and rested for a bit before Meaghan came by and we went to park the van at the Civic Auditorium and cruised over to Surfrider's Café where of course I had Derby girl sliders and split an order of loaded tater tots, it was so delicious! We cruised back and watch the Derby Girl bout… It was so exciting. It was the last bout of the season and very close the whole game and even though the steamer James kicked ass towards the end the Redwood rebels one. After the game we cruised back here and Meaghan put me to bed, I was exhausted but wound up from the bout. I watched TV for a while and eventually goes off after talking to my brother's family and my cousin Terrie, Terrie messaged me earlier and told me that my aunt Gladys had a stroke and was in the hospital. We talked for a while, I had almost forgotten how much I missed her. We were really close for a long time. She said she doesn't drive much anymore but she's going to try to come and visit, maybe even stay the weekend, so we can get acquainted with each other again. Everybody says that all the time but I hope we really do it.

Sunday was a pretty good day. I found some pumpkin carving patterns online and I found a way to make them larger so that worked out pretty good. This is only Omar's second time carving pumpkins and he did an excellent job, his first time was here last year… Can you believe that? My cousin Rich, his fiancée Sue and the two girls Luanna and Melia came by to say hello and they were just in time for the pump and lighting ceremony. They were going to come back over and have a sleepover with my mom. Meaghan came in and put me to bed and got me something to eat and then she left. I watched TV until my mom came down and put on my CPAP machine and then I was out.

Those are cool looking pumpkins, Tammie! Omar did a great job on them! So festive seeing them lit. We carved pumpkins for the first time this year. Actually, son and his step daughter did. I held my 8 month old grandson and he watched the whole process. Son did a traditional type of pumpkin face, step granddaughter did a cat; both came out nice. We had a pumpkin lighting ceremony too :)

I'm sorry about your mom's bird's passing. Always a sad time to lose a pet we love as family!

I hope your Halloween isn't too scary tomorrow :)

Thank you Betty! Omar is pretty amazing! Insofar and to get ready for Halloween and I'm glad your son and grandchildren got to be there with you.

It always a sad when you lose a pet, they just don't live long enough. Robby turned nine on Sunday the sixth.

I hope you had a really nice following also!
