Nathan and Corinne's wedding! David coming to visit…

Monday was a pretty good day. So much cooler than Sunday. Karen came in and we did some personal care and of course a nice long hot bath, I almost didn't get up because personal care took so long. My goal is to drink more water and eat more salads. The Woofpack came to get Robby for their Monday hike so I thought about staying in bed but it was so beautiful out I wanted to cruise around as much as I can. I cruised over to the lagoon and took some pictures of the goats, up through Bay St., Park, down to the end of the wharf and back, down to the end of the boardwalk and back and then home for a rest. Kelly was headed downtown to mail a letter so I cruised down there with her, she wanted to look for some shoes for the wedding. While we were looking at shoes Rosa texted me and said she was on her way so I headed home while Kelly looked for shoes. Rosa put me to bed and Claudia texted me and said that she didn't feel good and wasn't going to play cards, my mom, Kelly and I were going to but it got too late and everybody was tired. My aunt and uncle decided not to also. As soon as everyone left my hydration water hose came apart and got water all over the floor, it did that last night also so I need to figure out how to tighten it up. The connectors keep coming undone. I finally fell asleep.

Tuesday was kind of a bummer. Cindy didn't come in and it was getting later and later so I called my mom to come down and fed Robby and Penny, after a while longer I texted Cindy and I guess she had taken today off but I didn't write it down or remember… I really need to start writing stuff down. Omar and his friend came by to do some more painting, it's looking so nice out there. Trish texted me to confirm our barbecues/table tennis party on July 1st, it's going to be a lot of fun. Andrew and Trish have a table tennis table and so do I so we can get a tournament going. Luckily Trish figured out the barbecue last time so we got that covered. It's going to be a great summer. My brother David will be here on Wednesday and we will leave on Friday for Modesto, Corinne and Nathan's wedding is on Saturday and we will come back on Sunday. Unfortunately David and Kelly are leaving on Monday. It's going to be a great week! Rosa came in and put me on my side for a while and then set me back  up and went home. It was a nice relaxing evening.

Wednesday was a really good day. Susan came in to give me a nice long massage, I have a pinched nerve behind my left shoulder so it felt great. Karen came in and we did some personal care and a nice long hot bath with my Himalayan salt and essential oils and I felt wonderful. Daniel from Numotion came by and checked my chair, sure enough there was the batteries just like I told them three weeks ago. At least now the batteries are ordered but it will probably be another two with three weeks, so frustrating! Omar came in to paint some more of the railings on the house, it looks amazing! Robby and I went out for cruise through Depot Park and down to the end of the wharf, it looks like they had the whole wharf maintenance crew plus Parks and Recreation guys out there painting to get ready for Woodies on the Wharf, they are all so nice and friendly. This is going to be the third year in a row I'm going to miss it. We cruise down to the end and then back over to the other side of the wharf and I just tilted back for a while and enjoyed the view, what a beautiful place to live. It was time to cruise back home and wait for Rosa, I rested for a bit and then Rosa put me to bed and fed Robby and I. David got here and we talked for a while and everyone was tired. So glad you have my brother here.

Thursday was an awesome day. Karen came in and got me up and finished packing for our trip to Sonora, everybody keeps telling me how hot it's going to be. My mom, Kelly, and my aunt and uncle all took off to drive up a day early. David and I went to have breakfast at Zachary's and cruised around for a while looking for a comfortable button-down shirt for Dave, he found a couple of them at O'Neill Surf Shop. David came home and I went to my appointment with Carol, I waited for a while but she never showed up. I don't seem to be getting her messages for some reason, this is the third week that I've missed her. I came back home and Karen was just finishing up giving Robby a bath. Dave and I cruised down to the end of the wharf and then over to see the new additions on the boardwalk. My battery was running low so we cruised back to charge my chair for a couple of hours before we went back to the wharf for dinner. Dave hung out with me while my chair was charging and we got to catch up a little bit. I decided to leave Robby here and we cruise down to Stagnaro's for dinner, we passed by their earlier and David said he remembered my dad taking us there to eat and ordering Cioppino so that's what we did. Dave order Cioppino and I ordered surf and turf, of course it was awesome! Great company and a beautiful view. We got dessert to go, apricot bread pudding and ice cream. Rosa was here when we got back and she put me to bed and Dave came in and we had dessert. While we were having dessert Joanne came over from across the street, she is going to be babysitting Robby and feeding Penny and sweet P… She wanted to make sure she got the routine. Dave and I visited for a while, he always finds the coolest songs. He was telling me about one while we were walking on the wharf that Keith Urban sings about the boardwalk, I can't believe I've never heard it before. It's about a guy who met a girl at the boardwalk and they had a great day/evening together and then she left and promised to come back, he ended up getting a job at the boardwalk each summer and waiting for her.

Friday was a pretty good day. Karen came in and got me up and gave Robby a bath while I cruised around for a little bit, I got back and Robby was clean and the van was all packed up and ready to go for our trip to Sonora for Nathan and Corinne's wedding. It was no secret that it was going to be very very hot and I was a little nervous, it was supposed to be 104° and it was… I believe at one point it got up to 107°. We did have a really nice drive, reminiscing, joking and catching up. When we left here at 11:30 AM Omar and his friend were painting the railing outside, I can't wait to get back and see how it looks. It was a redwood color and we decided to paint it the same color as the trim on the house. We only stopped once to rest, we probably should've stopped more but I just wanted to get there and get inside where it's cool. The GPS led us to the best Western plus in Sonora and we stopped but they do have a reservation for us, this made me very nervous because it was already 4:30 PM and we were also supposed to have a Hoyer lift delivered. That means if they didn't have our reservation that they probably brought the Hoyer lift and didn't leave it. Kelly and my mom met us there and went into check about the reservation, Kelly came back out to call the medical equipment rental place to see what was going on. They had our reservation under a different name, they wrote down my name wrong. Rental equipment place deliver the lift and we settled in for the night. The sign on the restaurant by the hotel center was the best breakfast, lunch and dinner around so we were excited about that. It was a pretty good dinner and the people there were really nice. Karen put me to bed and I surprisingly slept really good, usually my anxiety and stress keeps me from sleeping but I think the essential oils helped.

Saturday was a heartbreaking day. Karen got up really early and went to get us breakfast, breakfast was free and it was really good. I had a poached egg, sausage, hash browns and toast… Kelly and David went to Starbucks to get coffee. We put me on my side for a while and watch TV, the wedding wasn't until 4 PM. While Karen was getting me dressed she noticed that I developed a pressure sore and it was pretty bad, she took a picture and continued getting me dressed. David and my aunt came by to see how everything was going and when we told them about the pressure sore and show them the picture they said I needed to get back in the car and get home, I wanted to at least wait until the wedding started and see how long I could stand it but I'm glad I didn't. Usually I wait too long and end up really suffering. We packed the car back up and headed for home, it was only 11:30 AM and it was already 95° outside. I texted Theresa on the way home and she met us at the house to put me to bed. We stopped at chipotle on the way back and got some dinner. My friend Sheri came to Santa Cruz for the Woodies's on the wharf so I texted her to see when she was going back and we decided to meet for breakfast the next morning at Zachary's. Teresa put me to bed and we were all exhausted so we fell asleep.

Sunday was a pretty good day. It was so nice to be back home where it was cooler, 77° sure beats hundred and 7°. Karen came in and got me up and Dave and I went downtown to Zachary's to meet Sheri for breakfast, she came in town for the Woodie's and I was so glad we were able to catch up with her, we had an awesome breakfast. After breakfast Dave and I decided to cruise down to the wharf. We cruised back home and since I didn't take Robby with us to breakfast I decided to take him for cruise back down to the wharf and got some really cool pictures of the Woodies cruising through the roundabout, perfect timing. I got to spend a lot of time with my brother David this visit and it was awesome, he is one of the best people I know and he makes me feel calm and relaxed. We cruised back home and Theresa came into put me to bed, I probably shouldn't have gotten up because of the pressure sore but I really wanted to see my friend Sheri and spend a little more time with my brother Dave. She put me to bed and said that surprisingly my pressure sore did not look worse, I'm so happy. Dave and I visited for a while and then my mom, Kelly and I am an uncle came home. What a great weekend! Just as I was drifting off to sleep Robert, McKenzie, David and Melissa showed up. What a great surprise!
