Another week of beautiful weather and mountain lion sightings…

Monday was another gorgeous day in Santa Cruz, I can't say enough how much I love living here. I got up and put on my Google glass, I get so excited about getting to know everything about these. I took Robby for a cruise through the lagoon all the while looking in the deep brush for a mountain lion or a Puma, are they the same thing? At first I thought wouldn't it be cool get a picture of one up close? Then I thought drive really want one that close? Anyway I never got to find out and I guess I'm glad. I did get a couple of really cool shots of the lagoon, the wharf and the Boardwalk. These things take amazing pictures. The only problem is I really need to pay attention and watch what I'm going, no mishaps yet but I find myself looking for where I want to take the next picture more than I look where I'm going. People are starting to recognize the Google class and ask questions, sometimes I learned more than I know about them from other people. I came home and hung out with Heather for a while and then Rosa came and put me to bed, I fell asleep for she went home.

Tuesday was a great day, my 52nd birthday… I will never do that again. I wasn't feeling very good in the morning and really thought about spending the day in bed but I'm glad I didn't. After some personal care I felt better and decided to get up if for no other reason than to take Robby out for a cruise. I took Robby And my Google glass for a cruise through the lagoon and as I was heading over to the wharf I ran into Lexi and Seth. They wanted to go cruise around the lagoon so we headed back over there, I think Seth really wanted to see that mountain lion that everybody keeps saying around that area… Personally I'm glad we didn't see it. I took a bunch of pictures and then we headed back and rested for a while and Jim and Ursula showed up with a birthday cake, Ursula is an excellent chef and makes unbelievable desserts. My aunt came over with the kids and my mom came downstairs and we had some lemon, almond carrot cake… It was so moist it just melted in your mouth. We visited for a while and then Teresa came and after everybody left she put me to bed and did a couple of more things around here. I got a bunch of birthday messages from past, present and hopefully all in my future people that I know on Facebook. It feels really great to know that all those people are thinking about me as I'm getting old, think goodness I still remember everybody.

Wednesday was another beautiful day in Santa Cruz. I actually felt really good today, I've been having stomach problems and hopefully that is over. I got up and took Robby for a cruise through the lagoon and down to the wharf, I came back to get my Google class because it was charging. I wanted to go around the neighborhoods and look at what people are doing in their front yards, I want to redo my yard. A lot of people around here are putting vegetable gardens in their front yard, I wanted to do that but last year I grew a few things in my front yard and nobody bothered to pick them so I decided to do something else. I think I want to put rocks in a succulent garden in front because it seems like all the cats in the neighborhood are using my front yard as a litter box, hopefully that will stop them in the yard will look beautiful. I didn't see a lot of succulent gardens but I did take a bunch of pictures. It was getting really hot, somebody said it was almost 80° here today, so we came home and rested for a while and then Rosa came to put me to bed. I finally figured out how to edit the pictures that I take with Google glass, when you crop them the pictures seemed to zoom in and the clarity is still amazing. I can't wait to go back and edit all the pictures that I took, this will take a while… I hope I sleep tonight. Lee and Claudia, my uncle and aunt and my mom and I played cribbage. My mom was my partner and we lost four dollars, I demand a recount! Here is a picture of what I look like with Google glass on, I took a bunch of pictures but this is the only one of going to share tonight.

Thursday was another great day. Karen brought her brothers over to clean my washer and dryer, that's what they do for a living. They said there was a lot of dog hair but other than that I have a good washer and dryer. I took some pictures of them and they went to take Robby for a cruise. I wanted to cruise around and look at other people's yards to get an idea of what I would like for mine. Teresa told me to look up on Mission Street because they have a lot of succulent garden's, I saw a lot of really thin sidewalks and a bunch of garbage cans in the way, I can wait to get off on that street. After getting lost a couple of times I made it back home and called Christopher from Google glass, we were playing email tag for a while and then we tried telephone tag… I finally got a hold of him. He asked me if I would mind talking to the press or the media about the Google glass through a viewpoint from somebody with limited abilities, of course I told him I would. I just can't say enough good things about the Google class, it's like a tiny computer in a little present right at your eyebrow line, it can do anything at computer can do. I was so excited I took Google glass out for another spin. I came back home and Teresa for me to bed and we did some personal care, I was exhausted and went to sleep

Friday was a good day weather wise but everything just seemed to be going wrong. I forgot I had at 11:30 appointment with my new urologist so I had to message Susan and cancel and I had to call Teresa to ask her she could come in earlier, right before we got ready to leave for the appointment the nurse called up and said the urologist could not see me because she had to go to surgery. I called Andrei and asked him if we could meet him and fix my chest strap, when Jack put the back back on my chair he made the chest strap way too long and I think the back might be up a little bit too high. After we met Andrei we went and had lunch at Café Cruz, this is my third time there and again it was awesome. We both had the calamari sandwich and fries. After that we went by the pet store to get some shampoo for Robby and some other things. We stopped by a brighter world and picked up some shirts that Jeremy was dying for me. We cruised around up by Westcliff looking for nice landscape jobs in the front yard and found that both of us fell in love with. Then came home and rested for about 10 minutes and then it was time for the concert, tonight was gin blossoms and they were awesome as usual. I think they save their most popular songs for the second's performance, they have two. They came home and Teresa put me to bed and I'm hoping I fall right asleep like I did last night.

Saturday was such a fun day. I got up early and cruised over to the Woody's on the wharf to check out the cool cars and trucks. I got over there early enough to cruise around and take pictures with my Google glass and got out of there just as it was getting crowded. The cruised back up to a couple of houses that we drove by yesterday on Westcliff Drive that had really good landscaping done in their front yard, the last one I saw I'm almost positive is what I want in my freight yard except River rock instead of bark. I came back and Teresa put me to bed, early so I could relax and unwind a little. Lexi and Seth came over and watched identity crisis with me, pretty funny movie.

Sunday was a nice relaxing day. I decided to stay in bed because I knew it was going to be crazy around town. I slept until about noon, that felt great, and then I had some coffee and some gingersnaps. Lexi and Seth came over and we watched the movie mama, we all love scary movies and this one was great. Rosa came and we did some personal care and then I got a nice long hot bath, I really relaxed right now.

those are all great pictures, Tammie!! I like the one with you modeling the glasses! They do look cool on you and so functional!! What a great thing to have along as you cruise with Robby. I had to laugh about the dog hair in your washer/dryer; I can imagine ours would be the same!

glad to hear you did have a relatively nice birthday too!
