I love when the week is busy with family and friends…

Monday was another fantastic day. As I like getting up and in my chair my mom came down to see if I wanted to go out to breakfast with everybody, I'm so glad that they waited for me. We're going to go to Zachary's but we got all the way down there and it was closed so we decided to go to Surfriders Café. It wasn't crowded at all, on Monday I didn't really think it would be but I'm glad I wasn't. I wanted an Ahi salad, I saw it on their Facebook menu and it looked awesome, but the waitress came back and said they were out of Ahi so I had it caramelized onion and apple salad and it was really good… I think everything there is so you just can't go wrong. Everybody enjoyed their meal. I came back and then decided to take Robby for a cruise down to the end of the wharf and back and down to the end of the boardwalk and back, the weather was beautiful. I came back and rested for a bit and then Rosa came to put me to bed.

Tuesday was another great day. I got up and Lisa took me over to my doctors appointment with Dr. Hurray, it was really nice to see everybody again. It's been about a year since I had that really bad pressure ulcer on the back of my ankle and I was there once a week for a very long time. Since I got diabetes my doctor told me that I need to find a foot doctor to see once a year so of course I picked him. Of course him and Robby mauled each other like they always did in the past, it was so cute. After my appointment we went to Costco, I haven't been there for a very long time so I needed a lot of stuff. We came back home and Omar was in the driveway so Lisa let me out by the street. When she went to park the car she couldn't get it out of the park, it was stuck. I couldn't remember what Teresa said to do when they get stuck like that so we called her a couple of times but she was still asleep so we called Ocean Honda and they put us on hold. While they have this on hold Lisa let the ramp out and put it back in and the car went out of Park, then I remembered what we were supposed to do… Take the ramp out and put it back. I came in and rested for a bit and then decided to take Robby for a cruise since he didn't get one in the morning. We cruised around the wharf and the Boardwalk leaning back every once in a while to just enjoy the beautiful scenery, I sometimes think I don't appreciate it as much as I should so I'll have to start doing that more often.  We ran into a couple on the wharf who were puppy raisers for CCI and had a little puppy with them. For some reason Robby just would not listen to me and he was actually hurting my arm, I have never seen him like that. I apologized and said that Robby had been cooped up for a while due to surgery but that still is no reason. She said that they have puppy obedience classes and then Robby was welcome to come, I think that is a great idea. I came home and Rosa came in to put me to bed. Teresa came in to show Rosa how to use the ion detox machine in the footpath. Theresa Cook to couple of things and then left. Rosa put me to bed and then we did some personal care before my nice long hot bath, it was late when she left but I slept good.

Wednesday was a little colder. I got up and went down to lab Corp. to get some blood drawn for another A1 C/cholesterol test. The lady had really good luck and got my blood right away, usually it takes her a while to get any blood out of me. Karen told me that my mom had totaled her car, Karen is so calm and I just freaked out. Then she said that it's okay and nobody was hurt but it still just freaks me out. I texted my mom and she said that everything was okay and she would tell me what happened when she got back, Tom and Kelly went to pick them up and then they went out to eat at Denny's. It looks like the car might not possibly be totaled, I guess we'll find out in the next couple of days. It seems like nobody is hurt but that also usually takes a couple of days for the pain to set in so that will also take a couple of days. We visited for a while and I decided to take Robby out in the driveway and practice a few commands, you need some puppy boot camp maintenance after his ridiculous display yesterday. He did really well out in the parking lot even without a leash. I decided to cruise down to the farmers market to get some stuff for salads, while we were at Costco yesterday I found a miso dressing and the guy that was getting some at the same time said it was really great stuff so I decided to try it. I love miso dressing so I hope it's going to be a good one. I didn't make it down to the farmers market because it was cold and the battery on my chair was running a little slow so we just cruised through the lagoon and down to depot Park and back. I visited with Kelly for a little while.

Thursday was a great day, the sun was out and it was nice and warm but not hot. My aunt Bobby and her husband took off to go back home to Arizona. Robby had an appointment to get the last of his stitches out, good riddance. We cruise down to the wharf and then to the boardwalk, a little ways down Westcliff Drive, back to the end of the wharf and then home. My anxiousness about getting home is getting better, usually when I'm out I can't wait to get home and I don't even know why. I think everything is just a lot better since I got my CPAP machine and I'm sleeping like I should.  On Tuesday Omar brought me some fresh salmon that he caught surgery secret to it last night and it was amazing, you just can't beat fresh. Lisa was supposed to come and learn the Thursday night routine but she had to work overtime at her other job so she couldn't make it. We trained Shauna for six weeks to take over so Teresa could go back to school but a live-in position became available and she needed to get out of where she was so she took it, very frustrating but I get it. Now is the rush to try to get Lisa trained before Teresa has to go back to school. I know my workout because everything usually does. Teresa came in and we did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath, that fixes everything.

Friday was a pretty good day, I just wasn't in the greatest mood all day. I got to sleep in until 10 AM and although I couldn't sleep there was nice to just relax. I got up and took Robby for a nice little cruise about 5 miles and then I was going to bring him back and go to the concert on the beach, there's only two left and this one is Great White. I looked them up and I'd heard one song before and it was a little cold so I decided not to go. I came home and rested for a bit and my mom came downstairs totally frustrated, they had just called her to tell her that her car was totaled and since the guy had no insurance while there were going to give her was $9000. It just broke my heart to see her so sad and there was nothing I could do about it, it really made me mad that somebody can hit you like that and only your car and there's nothing you can do. Shauna came by and put me to bed and I fell asleep pretty fast. I tried to put on my CPAP machine but the smell of vinegar was so strong I couldn't even breathe.

Saturday was a good day. I got up and took Robby for a really long cruise through the lagoon, down W. Cliff Dr. to the second dog Beach and back and down to the end of the wharf and back… A little over 5 miles. The weather was perfect and the scenery was gorgeous, there was a lot of people when Westcliff Drive but there sure was a lot of people on the wharf at the Boardwalk, I didn't even bother going down to the boardwalk. I came back and rested for a bit and talk to Omar, he is such a nice guy. Shauna came in and put me to bed and I just rested for the rest of the evening. The last couple of days I have been really cold so I'm trying to stay warm and at the same time not making Robby to warm, quite a balancing act.

Sunday I decided to stay in bed. As soon as I woke up and looked at Facebook I was sorry, today was the Polynesian Festival on the wharf, I go to it every year and I wish I would have known yesterday. The second thing I saw on Facebook was that we had an earthquake, 6.1 magnitude earthquake at 3:20 AM Centered in Napa, I woke up about that time startled and anxious but I just figured it was because it was warm in here and so I just turned on the air conditioner and went back to sleep. My mom made me breakfast, a fried egg, a piece of bacon, some toast and blueberries… And of course coffee. I just kind of relaxed and watched TiVo the rest of the day, it was really nice and peaceful. My mom and Kelly came in and said that Kevin was coming to visit next Friday with a friend, I'm so excited! My mom decided to just go down and lease a car.  Teresa came in and made me some scallops, quinoa/brown rice, asparagus and a salad for dinner. We did some personal care that I got to take a nice long hot bath.

Oh your poor mom, Tammie. I am sorry to hear about her car accident. If that guy didn't have insurance, he is going to be in major trouble with the DMV and will probably end up losing his license for a bit and then having to make sure he has insurance before he can get his license again. But that doesn't help your mom with her loss of a car. I think actually leasing a car is not a bad idea. If anything goes wrong with it, you can take it back to the place you leased it from and they will fix it, plus most leased cars are brand new so nothing should go work with them.

I bet Robbie was glad to get his stitches out!

Great pictures as always!

Hi Tammie,

I was wondering where you got your google glasses? I might read back in your blog to figure this out.

I agree. Baths are the best.

Hi again,

I read through your archives, and found where you first got the glasses. I'm curious, did the Google folks approach you or the other way around?

Wondering for a friend...

My email is on my blog if you prefer. Thanks in advance. :-)
