Family, friends and concerts…

Monday was a pretty good day. Karen came in and got me up and ready for the day. Lisa came by to take me for some errands, we went to staff of life to do some grocery shopping and over to Ross to look for some sneakers that I can wear over my braces. We didn't find any speakers but we found a lot of Halloween decorations… Not that I need anymore but I just can't help myself. If I go on Tuesdays I get a 10% discount because I'm 55 now but on Tuesdays I don't have anybody to help me carry everything back home. We came back home and I rested for a bit and then took Robby for a cruise down by the Santa Cruz wharf and Boardwalk. Rosa came in and we trained a new girl, Meaghan, for weekend evenings… She is pretty awesome and I think to start to work out great.

Tuesday was a crazy day! Tom, Kelly's husband, flew here to pick up Seth to take him back to Florida to stay with them for a while… He is going to love it there because he loves to surf and the water is warm. Just as he was leaving, approximately 8:30 AM, we heard a loud crash and I looked at Karen and said "I hope that wasn't Tom smashing into the back of my van". Karen looked out in the driveway and then looked out front and didn't see anything. About an hour later Karen was taking Robby out to go potty and saw a big hole in my fence, somebody smashed through one section of it. She went over to look and a lady asked her if she was the property manager and gave her the information of the vehicle that came through my fence, will the barbecue island with my smoker, my barbecue and two burners about 3 feet and into the bumper of my van. He was just parked on the other side, that was a lot of damage for being so close. Took a bunch of pictures and I texted Omar and he came by to take some more pictures and assess the damage.  I cruised down to Palo Alto medical clinic to sign some paperwork for them to get all of my records from Dominican and crews back. Rosa came in and we again trained Meaghan, she is pretty cool!

Wednesday was a really great day! Karen came in and got me up and I took Robby for a short cruise through the lagoon and back. Stanley, Kelly and I cruised over to the Santa Cruz wharf for lunch. They just opened a new restaurant over there called Splash, it has been closed down for about six years and they finally finished it and it looks pretty awesome side. The bar turns every so often so everybody gets a view and on the back wall is all mirrors, the floor is cement that is multicolored like the ocean and it has shells in it. They also have viewing holes so you can see the sea lions underneath the Wharf. Stanley had a crab Louie salad, Kelly had barbecued ribs and garlic fries and I had a lobster roll and garlic fries… Everything was excellent! We cruised around for a while and then came back home. Rosa came in and we get some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath, I fell asleep immediately.

Thursday was a pretty good day. Karen came in and got me up and the guy came in to fix my television, it will be so nice to have it back. I have the one in here temporarily from the living room and every time we try to use the ceiling lift it bangs into the side of the TV. I took Robby for a cruise through the lagoon, through Bay St., Park, down to the Santa Cruz wharf and back home. It was so nice I sat outside for a while and then Kay came to touch up my hair, it's already getting gray… Karen noticed it was gray the day after she did it but it's been so crazy around here I haven't had time to have her come back… Luckily she didn't charge me. Rosa came in and we trained Meaghan one more day before she was on her own for the weekend, she's going to do great!

Friday was a really awesome day. Cindy came in, Karen is on vacation, and got me up and Robby and I went for a cruise through the lagoon and to the Santa Cruz wharf and back. I met up with Kelly and we went for a cruise back to the Santa Cruz wharf and then got some lobster tacos and headed down to meet Stanley for the last concert of the season, Papa Doo Run Run. Stanley was holding us a place in front of the stage on the boardwalk. It was a pretty good concert, I think I only made two concerts this year at the Boardwalk. After the concert we came on home and Meaghan was waiting to put me to bed, she did great and I was out before she left.

Saturday was a really exciting day! Cindy came in and got me up and my friend Marica came to visit and to go to a couple of concerts with me. Stanley got up and made us a killer bacon, egg and cheese omelette. Marica, Robby and I went for a cruise downtown and then over to the Santa Cruz wharf. We cruised back and left Robby here while we went to the Saratoga Mountain winery for the Lost 80’s live concert to see the…
A Flock of Seagulls, Wang Chung, Cutting Crew, Berlin, Nu Shooz, Tommy Tutone, Dramarama, Annabella of Bow Wow Wow, Farrington+Mann The Original When In Rome UK. We got one of their savory crapes and it was pretty good. They went to take us to our seats and we were right down in front of the stage, all the other concerts I went there were in section 10 which I thought were good seats but these were amazing! I didn't recognize anybody but I didn't recognize almost all of the songs… I'm so old. It went by way too fast and before I knew it was time to go home. We got home about 11:30 PM and Meaghan was waiting for us so she could put me to bed. I felt really bad that her first three nights here working I was going to concerts and not getting home until late and I assured her that this doesn't happen very often. She put me to bed and again I was so exhausted I fell sleep before she left. She texted me a couple hours later and said that she forgot to charge the batteries on my chair but I didn't get it until the next morning, luckily Cindi noticed and plug it in.

Sunday was another really really exciting day! San Francisco Fest, Doobie Brothers, Santana, journey, Steve Miller and Tower of power… I have had tickets since April. Cindy came in and noticed that my chair was not plugged in so she plugged it in and it charged fine. Stanley made another killer omelette for everyone. Marica and I visited for a while until Sheri came and we got ready to leave. Stanley drove us to the AT&T stadium where the concert was. He dropped the three of us and went onto parked the van, the two tickets that I got were in one section and they were the next section over. We got up to our seats and I got a text from Stanley saying his ticket is no good so Marica took off to help him out, Marica sold one of her tickets and she forgot and gave Stanley the wrong one. They didn't have to miss much. I haven't been eating like I should the last couple of days and tonight was no exception. I had a chicken sandwich and garlic fries, I ate most of the sandwich until I ran out of chicken but only had about six french fries and gave the rest to my brother… That was really hard. The concert was amazing! I can't even think of one part of it they didn't have everybody on the edge of their seats. They announced that this was going to be the new day on the green and it was going to be annually, I will definitely have tickets every year. The concert started at 3 PM and they played until about 11 PM and nobody was disappointed. Stanley drove us back home and Meaghan was waiting here with Robby so she put me to bed and this time both of us were exhausted and I was out before she left once again.

Wow, you did have a great week, Tammie. The concerts sounded like fun! Sorry about the damage to your place though.
