Another beautiful week with family in Santa Cruz...

Monday was a gorgeous day. Karen came in and got me up. My mom, David, Melissa and I… And of course Robby were going to go see Antman and get something to eat. My mom wasn't feeling well so David, Melissa, Robby and I went to go see Train wreck  it was a really funny movie but I couldn't keep my eyes open and I felt weird. This morning all I had for breakfast was half of a very large cookie, gingersnap, and a cup of coffee… It sounded like a good idea at the time. Of course my blood sugar shot up to over 200, it has only been that high couple of times so it's not bad but I know 300 is a trip to the hospital. I should have eaten something else but I didn't so here I am. Last night I looked up a couple of places to eat after the movie forgetting that Monday everything is close or has different hours, why is that? We finally ended up at the Assembly Restaurant at happy hour, too early for dinner. I had the chopped salad and felt that are instantly, it was really good. David and Melissa and hamburger and fries and it looked killer, I was so jealous. We came home just in time to meet Rosa here and she put me to bed and I was out.

Tuesday was another great day. Lisa came in and got me up and took me two Petpals to get some dog food and some and then to Costco, it's been a while. I tried to remember that the kids were going to Modesto on Thursday and don't get too much food but when it comes to Costco and let the kid in the candy store… I think I did pretty good though. We came back and I rested for a bit and then took Robby for a cruise, I'm trying to do between four and 6 miles a day to trim him down a little bit… He gets rectified on the 17th and I don't want them to say "he's a little overweight". On our way back home I saw this truck that had a stage on top so of course I had to go take pictures of it. Rosa came in and put me to bed, we did some personal care and my always loved nice long hot bath. Again I fell right to sleep.

Wednesday was a great day. Karen came in and got me up and I took Robby are nice long cruise through the lagoon, through Bay street park, down Westcliff Drive and back and down to the end of the wharf and back. We came back and rested for a bit and then David, Melissa and I went to Stagnaro's  Restaurant on the wharf for dinner. I had calamari Parmesan and it was awesome. We came back home and Rosa came in to put me to bed, again I slept really good.

Thursday was another great day. Karen came in and got me up and I went and had a really nice session with my psychologist, I think I'm really growing. After the appointment Robby and I cruised around downtown for a while and then came back to the house to meet Kay to get my hair dyed, lightened and get highlights… I always look the way I look when Kay leaves. Rosa came in and put me to bed and we did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath and listen to the thunder and lightning outside, I can't believe we finally got rain. we also caught that pesky raccoon that keeps coming up on my porch and trashing everything, they are so cute but very descriptive. I felt bad for him but he needs to go, Omar is going to take him to Watsonville and let him grow back in the wild. I hope it's just one and not a family of them.

Friday was another great day. Karen came in and got me up and then Omar came by to get the raccoon and set him free in Watsonville, he kept hissing and growling and it was really kind of scary… I hope there's no more because I do feel really guilty and sad. David and Melissa drove to Modesto with Grant and his girlfriend, they came up yesterday and Grant surprised his girlfriend and proposed on the beach. Both his parents and her parents set it up and then they stayed in a motel. I took Robby and went for for a cruise through the lagoonWhere I got stuck in the soft ground. I forgot that it rained and I saw a really cool plant that I wanted to take a picture of and when I went over to take a picture and my wheels got stuck, luckily I saw one of the familiar looking parks and recreation gardner and she came over to try to help… Another guy came over and the two of them rocked my chair and got me unstuck. I cruised down Westcliff Drive and back, down to the end of the wharf and back and then home. I rested for a bit and then Rosa came in to put me to bed.

Several months ago I got a letter from long-term disability saying that they want me to pay them back 20 years worth of benefits, they claim that I didn't tell them I was collecting Social Security. Luckily I went back and I have kept all of my records. I found an attorney to help me out but he passed away a couple months into it so his assistance has been helping me out, she was overwhelmed after his passing but said she would let me know if she can help me out… She is always a really busy. She called me this afternoon and said that she got a letter from long-term disability and they are not going to ask for the $70,000, what a wonderful day. I was so scared and worried. Everything is looking up.

Saturday was an okay day. Cindy came in to feed Robby and I and we did some personal care, I have a bunch of these facial gadgets that supposed to take the wrinkles away and make you look younger but I never use them… I need a scheduled start and who knows?? Omar came in and cleaned up after the raccoon incident, there was a lot of wet cat food and pieces of towel stuck to the ground on the back porch. He said that he took them out to a nice place and let him go, he didn't look very big in the cage but Omar said he was huge… I hope he was single so we don't have to do this again but if we do we'll just let the rest of his family go in the same place so they can be together again. Rosa came in and we did some personal care and I got to take a nice relaxing hot bath.

Sunday was more of the same, another day stuck in bed. I really think that after only one day of training Cindy could have gotten me up but I figured I would just stay in bed one more day because I know it's going to be a long and amazing week. David and Melissa came back with Melissa's parents and two of her siblings, I met them at the wedding but didn't get a chance to visit so this will be really nice. I wanted to give Rosa a night off so my mom came down and set me back up. I can't wait until tomorrow.

My dad's lab weighs 83 pounds. I'll be interested to hear what Robbie weighs. Bro dog licks a lot of plates...

Glad you guys caught the raccoon, Tammie. I hear they can be a bit nasty, so good to have it removed, hopefully that was the only one.

Seemed like it was a pretty good week for you!
