It's supposed to cool down this week…

Monday was not such a good day. I was stuck in bed AGAIN because we had to do the personal care and bath that we didn't get to do on Sunday. The good news is I got a nice long hot bath. Not much else happened during the day, I just watched TV and play games on the computer all day. Rosa came in and put me on my site for a while and did a bunch of stuff around here that needed to be done.

Tuesday was an awesome day. I got up and took Robby for a nice long cruise through the lagoon, through Bay St., Park and down Westcliff Drive. As I was cruising along Westcliff Drive I noticed a lot of people wind up looking out into the ocean so I stopped and looked and I saw whales and Dolphins, it was so cool and I was so glad I have my Google glass with me. You can tell where the whales are because I was always a huge swarm of birds, seagulls and pelicans, hovering above the water where they are and I began… It is the coolest thing ever. I just lay back and watched everything. Unfortunately I didn't get any really good pictures because by the time I get a picture taken there already down under the water. Every time I would turn around to come back something exciting what happened and I would turn back around and go see. The weather was gorgeous, it was just a perfect day. I came home and my front yard and my porch were decorated for Halloween. Karen did the inside a little bit on Friday and Omar, Lisa and Teresa worked on it today and it looks awesome, they look like they had so much fun doing it to. Rosa came in and for me to bed and we decided to do personal care and a bath tomorrow. Seth came over and we watched a movie with Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore called Nonstop, I had my doubts but it was an awesome movie.

Wednesday I was stuck in bed again.  Susan did come in and gave me a nice long massage, it felt really good and not the time I thought I was going to be really sore after but I was asleep before she left. A guy was supposed to come out and evaluate my wheelchair to see how much damage was done when I got hit by that SUV but he wasn't done until like 1 PM so I was all dressed up and nowhere to go. Karen set me back up in front of the computer before she left and before you know it was time for Rosa to come in. We did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath.

Thursday was a really great day. I Got up and Kay came over to do my hair, she always does such a great job. I took lobby over to pet smart to practice walking around and ignoring people and dogs, that is a great place to do it. The idea came to me a couple of weeks ago and I asked one of the trainers there and she said we could. I think it's calming me down more, I don't freak out as much when I see other dogs in public. I keep back and rested for a bit and then Lisa came to put me to bed. Teresa came by to do payroll and her and Lisa decorated some more of the house, they were excited when the left and said it looked awesome… I can't wait to see it in the morning. I was supposed to watch a movie with Seth, I recorded the shining because I have never seen it before but it kept falling asleep so I told her we would watch it Sunday.

Friday turned out to be kind of a bummer. I had to caregivers here on Thursday night and both of them forgot to check to make sure my chair was plugged in so when I got in my chair the battery was almost dead. I got to take Robby for a short cruise through the lagoon and to Depot Park and back, I think I was back home by 11:00 AM and I had to just sit and watch TV and hang around outside, I do love my back porch, until Shawna got here at 4:00 PM. Shauna came and we did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath. I decided to try all of the supplies to make my own body scrub and Shea butter lotion. Karen made some for me and it was awesome and so much cheaper than buying it online. I got some chocolate, watermelon, peach, coconut, lemon, orange… A bunch of essential oils, coconut oil and olive oil and it turned out really great.

Saturday was a pretty good day, the weather turned out to be nice. I have been waiting a long time for the dog fest walk and roll CCI event at Memorial Park in Cupertino. Robby and I raised a little over $800, not bad I think. Thanks to all my family and friends. I was looking forward to it until I got there and then I started getting really nervous thinking what if Robby doesn't act perfect, I always want everybody to be impressed with Robby but he does have a tendency to act a little anxious around other CCI dogs and people, I don't really encounter a lot of people… I guess you could say I'm kind of a loner. After the event we came back here and Teresa made dinner for Alex, Lisa, Lisa's boyfriend Andrew and I and it was so good, she made ribs, roasted potatoes and kale/screens with ham hock. Tonight was the last derby girls bout but unfortunately right before we got ready to leave I just didn't feel right and thought I should skip it and just go to bed, I just can't do those all day and all nighters anymore I guess. Shawna came in early and put me to bed and I just watched TV the rest of the night. The visiting nurse finally got around to calling me, my injury was on the 26th of last month, she's coming tomorrow sometime. Guess who was at the last Santa Cruz derby girl bout of the season?? Lisa got to meet him…
Sunday was a really boring/exciting day. I ended up staying in bed because the visiting nurse was coming to see me to evaluate my case after getting Hit by the SUV. She sent me up with the visiting nurse once a week because I have a pressure sore and physical therapy once a week for my neck, shoulders and arms. It looks like I will be staying in bed for a few days. Lisa and Teresa finished decorating and it looks awesome, I can't wait until I can get up and see them for myself, Lisa took pictures. Lisa went home and Teresa made some cauliflower crust pizza… I really love that stuff. We did some personal care and I got to take a nice long hot bath and then we watched American horror story: freak show. It is going to be a great series.

How cool, Tammie, with all the Halloween decorations! Very festive for the season! What are you dressing up this year as? Also how cool with the whale and dolphins! I always like your pictures from the ocean; they are always so cool!

Thank you Betty. I'm going to be spiderweb/spider woman and Rob is going to be a big black and white spider.

I didn't get any good pictures of the whales because my glasses not fast enough but I found an option on there where you can wink and take a picture, I'm going to try that out.
