I hope this week is better than last week…

Monday was a pretty good day. Robby and I both slept well and I got up and decided to take Robby for a cruise to the wharf and back, he just looked so happy to be out and about. I thought about waiting one more day just to make sure he doesn't overdo it but unwise I didn't, he just makes me smile. We came back and rested for a bit and hung out on the back porch with my mom and Kelly until Rosa got here, the weather was perfect. Susan came by to give me a massage, it's been a while and it sure felt great. Usually I tense up but I made myself relax and it didn't hurt as much, I was told that what happened. I got a movie from Netflix and had Karen pointed in my computer so I can watch it, it was good Will hunting. I found out later that day that Robin Williams passed away. She was such a great man and so talented and funny, I am in total shock. Depression should be taken very seriously.

Tuesday was a nice relaxing day.  Karen came in and we did some personal care. I decided to stay in bed again and give Robby one more day of relaxation before we get back into the routine. He seems to be doing really good although I'm still giving him his pain pills so he can sleep good at night, they're not very strong. Omar came by to work on the graywater system, it is looking really good time so excited about it. Rosa came in and I got to take a nice long hot bath. We got to try out the graywater system you know?

Wednesday was a great day. I thought it was going to be about 68° but it turned out to be about 74°, perfect weather. I took Robby for a cruise to the end of the wharf and back and then down to the boardwalk and back home. I didn't want to go on the boardwalk because I didn't have Robby's vest, I didn't wanted to pull on his stitches. I called the vet and set up an appointment for Robby to help his stitches taken out on Saturday, I'm sure there would be glad to get rid of them. He was so bouncy and happy today and just couldn't wait to get out to go for a cruise, back to his old self.

Thursday was a great day. I got up and made Robby an appointment to get his stitches taken out Saturday, when he first got hurt the time went by so slow and now that he's feeling better the time is going by fast again. I haven't been going to the lagoon because they're doing a bunch of road work the next street over, I could go down the second street over but there is a house that has about three or four dogs and they are always outside and it makes me nervous, I don't want Robby to get hurt. We cruise down to the end of the wharf and back and then up to Westcliff Drive, the weather was beautiful. We cruised back down to the wharf and then headed home. We rested for a bit and then Charlie in Terri came by to deliver a quilt and a wall hanging that I ordered from her on Etsy, she makes the most beautiful quilts. I got one for Cassidy and her new baby, the one that's on the way, and the wall hanging I got for me because it is so adorable. We visited for a while and they showed me a couple of places that they are looking for, they are moving. Both places that they looked at were absolutely gorgeous. Teresa came and took me to my appointment at Central Coast sleep disorder Center, the doctor upped the pressure on my CPAP machine. I feel so much better since I have been wearing the machine, I sleep better and my head is a lot clearer because I'm finally getting the sleep that I need. We came back home and Shauna put me to bed, just some personal care and gave me a nice long hot bath while Teresa made me some sukiyaki, put together some meals for the next couple of days and did payroll. The weather was perfect, I hope it stays like this for tomorrow when Marica comes to visit, I am really excited!

Thursday was a pretty incredible day. My long time and childhood friend Marica came to visit and stay overnight. I always feel so comfortable as well as happy when she is around, she is just that kind of person. We sat on the back porch and visited for a while and pretty soon it was time to go to the concert, tonight was Eddie Money and my caregiver wasn't coming until 10 PM so we to see both the 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM concert, first time I have ever seen both and first time that I have ever seen the 8:30 PM concert. The bands always played longer during the second show and is so beautiful when it's dark and all the lights are on not only the stage but behind it you can see all the boats and the wharf lit up, just amazing. Tom, Marica and I went to the Ideal Restaurant before the concert and have a great meal. I had salmon, coconut rice and broccoli and carrots. Tom had fish and chips and Marica had a BLT and everything looked really good. We stopped to take a couple of pictures and then went on to the content everybody there was so happy and we had a great time talking to the strangers around us. Susan, my massage therapist, texted me and said they were holding a place for us right in front of the stage but since we stopped to eat she couldn't hold it anymore because she had her kids with her and they wanted to go on the rides. They came back by to say hello. We run a couple of rows back but as long as I could hear the concert I was happy. After the first concert a couple of people in front of us left so we scooted up and were right in front. Eddie Money always puts on a really awesome show, he has performed there every year since 1973. His show now includes his daughter Jessie and every once in a while his godson, I can't remember his name, who works at Safeway in San Jose. I used to see him all the time so it was really cool to see him at the concert, she is autistic and plays are really mean harmonica. On our way home after the second show I got a text from my mom saying that my aunt Bobby her and her husband Earl were here to visit for a couple of days, I haven't seen aunt Bobby for several years and it was really great to see her. Everybody was exhausted so we visited for a while and then went to sleep.

Saturday was another really great day, I just love having company. I got up and we visited in the living room for a little while and then decided to go cruise around the lagoon and take pictures, it's such a beautiful place.  As we were leaving Rich, Sue, Seth, Luana and Melia stopped by outside to pick up some water at my uncles house, they were going to a barbecue. It was nice to visit with them out front for a while. The weather again was really perfect and we didn't want to come home because that meant Marica had to go home, this time went by so fast and we had such a great time I wish she could have stayed longer but she will be back. Robby had an appointment at Westside animal hospital to get his stitches out so we cruise down there and they did take some stitches out but decided he needed to keep some of them until next Thursday, I guess it's better to be safe than sorry? I took Robby for a cruise down to the end of the wharf and back and came back and Omar was just finishing up the graywater system, he put a switch on the pump. I tapped him for a while and leaned back in the sun, it just felt great. Kelly made everybody and BLT with pepperchinis, it tasted really good. Stanley showed up in the afternoon, that was a nice surprise. Rosa came over and made cheese enchiladas and guacamole for everybody. Is that cool or what?? Rosa put me to bed and my mom, my aunt and her husband, Stanley, Kelly and I played cribbage. My hands was my partner and we won two games. It feels so good to have family and friends around.

Sunday was another gorgeous day. I got up and went outside to take pictures of the finished graywater system that Omar set up, she did such a great job. I took Robby for a cruise through the lagoon and down to the end of the wharf and back. Lisa picked me up in the parking lot by the wharf and took me over to Trader Joe's to get some stuff for grilling pizzas. We came back home and rested and visit for a bit and then Kelly came over to grill the pizzas. We sat outside while she made three different pieces on the barbecue. One was avocado, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella, one was sun-dried tomatoes, olives and mozzarella and one was salami, pepperchini and mozzarella… All were delicious. Teresa came by to give me an ionic detoxification foot bath, the water was really brown and frothy by the end… So gross! She put me to bed and we did some personal care and then I got to take a nice long hot bath. Such an awesome, perfect day!

Glad to hear that Robbie is doing better, Tammie, and will get his stitches out maybe later this week! I know its a relief to you for him to be feeling better.

Glad also you had company, neat that your friend came to visit along with your aunt/uncle! I know you did enjoy the time you got to spend with all of them.

What a great concert too! I'm sure they'll be wrapping up the concerts soon since Labor Day is just around the corner; this summer went by so fast!
