Valentine's Day week…

Monday was a pretty good day. Karen came in and we did some personal care, a nice long hot bath and she got me up and took Robby over for his appointment with Dr. Dave, he had a heartworm test and a couple of vaccinations. Keresha, A lady I met a while back on the next street over, came by to discuss having a neighborhood party here at my house. We've been talking about it for a while and I volunteered to host one, they have all the time but I never have enough nerve to show up by myself. Karen came back with Robby and the vet said to take it easy for a couple of days because he might be a little sick from the vaccinations so we just went on a short cruise. Rosa came in and put me to bed and I just watch TV until my mom came down to put on my snorkel, CPAP machine.

Tuesday was also pretty good day. Cindy came in and got me up and took me over to New Leaf to do some shopping. We came back home and I rested for a bit and then went to see Jennifer for my facial/waxing appointment. After the appointment we cruise down to the wharf, I always love to cruise down to the wharf no matter what I do and check out the waves. It's so beautiful I just want to take advantage of it every day. We came back home and rested and watched TV until Rosa came in. She put me to bed and cleaned out the refrigerator for me. It's so nice to relax at the end of the day, look at and edit the pictures I took and watch TV until it falsely.

Wednesday was another great day. Karen came in and we did some personal care and a nice long hot bath, I think I like doing the personal-care and a bath in the mornings more than doing it at night, it's a great start for the morning and I just like to come home and go to bed and rest in the evenings. I met Fred and JoAnn down at Stagnaro's on the wharf, we go there at least once whenever they are in town. I usually have calamari Parmesan, over polenta… It is so delicious! I figured this time I better stick with clam chowder and a salad, it was pretty awesome! I cruised down to the end of the wharf and leaned back just to look at the beautiful ocean for a while and then Robby and I cruised over to the boardwalk and then back home. Rosa came in and put me to bed and I fell right to sleep.

Thursday was a pretty miserable day. Karen came in and I was having stomach problems and was sick pretty much all day, I had to reschedule my appointment with Carol. I don't know if it's from cutting back on my gabapentin, some bad kimchi that I ate or the bread that I ate but my stomach was a mess. Karen was here most of the day so I told Rosa she didn't need to come in, it will be nice to be able to rest for a while and hopefully tomorrow I will be back good as new.

Friday was another miserable day. I thought it couldn't get any worse than Thursday, well it didn't get worse but it was just as bad except after personal care I got to take a nice long hot bath. Karen put me back to bed and I slept most of the day. Meaghan came in and fed Robby and I and brushed my teeth and wash my face, there wasn't much else to do.

Saturday was a pretty good day. I thought it was going to rain all day but when Karen came in, Cindy has the weekend off, she said it was going to be nice and advised me to get out… I'm sure glad she did. I felt a lot better today but I just don't seem to have much of an appetite or I'm afraid to eat after the last couple of days that I went through… I'm not sure which is but I have no doubt I will get my appetite back as much as I love food. Robby and I cruised through Depot Park where ran into my friend Jerry, he drives his bike around Santa Cruz and collects bottles and cans… I see them just about everywhere I go. We cruised down to the end of the wharf, down to the end of the boardwalk and then home to rest for a bit before Meaghan came into put me to bed. It was so nice to be out and about and there wasn't really a lot of people, it's still taking people a long time to get over the hill. Meaghan came in and fed Robby and put me to bed and I have the whole rest of the evening to watch TV and relax.

Sunday was a nice relaxing day. Karen came in and put me on my side, I need to stay in bed for a couple of days because I'm getting a pressure sore. We cleaned everything out of the refrigerator and the freezer because it keeps beeping, I read online that you should unplug it and let it totally defrost so we will give it a try. Karen flipped me on my other side, just like a pancake, and I stayed like that for a while. I watched a movie called the edge of 17, it was pretty good. I thought it was going to be one of those weird high school movies but it wasn't. I want to watch it again tomorrow when I can have somebody turn up the volume, that program isn't working for me right now.  I met a lady named Janet on the neighborhood website and I have been having a good time talking to her. She got a fully electric hospital bed from the VA and she can't use it and the VA doesn't want it back. I told her I would love to have it but I don't really have anybody to go and get it for me. Rosa has a friend that was going to but I wasn't available when they tried to call and he had to go to work and Omar is on vacation in Mexico. We have a lot in common, one of them being we would rather talk for email or message then on the phone… I hate the phone. Meaghan came in and set me back up and got me something to eat and I was out before she left.

I know what you mean, Tammie, I'd rather email than talk on the phone.

Glad you are feeling better!

Great pictures of the ocean!
